Constructing a Vulcan IDIC

The beginnings of my IDIC


Scaling it out.



The Delta is done. This is the hardest part to create of the IDIC, the rest will be a cake walk.

Found my brass sheet...


The inner circle needs refining but here it is so far.







Refined inner circle. I have ordered a 12mm glass diamond, when it comes in I will devise a mounting for it.

Scuffed up the Delta to match the screen used. What do you think?

So I have bobbed the edges of the aluminum to more closely match the screen used piece and cut in the brass so everything sits at the same level. Lastly the diamond came today. Here it is under different lighting angles.

Finished, stone is set and brass is polished out. I think I achieved a nice balance between screen used and Idealized.




The back side isn't too pretty!
