Completed Mad Hatter (pic intensive)

I'm sure they will offer funky lenses, but I don't think they're going to be able to come up with a physical way to actually enlarge eyes. They'll probably offer some funky cheshire cat eyes as well.

Yeah, they can do it.

The "sclera" lenses fit over your ENTIRE eye...not just your iris like regular contacts.

Check out this "how to" video...

That lets the artist do whatever they want with the lens. I'm sure they could make the slightly larger iris' that Depp seems to have in the film. In fact, it's my guess (I haven't seen it yet) that Depp wore just such lenses.

Another example, these are lenses like the villians of Hellboy 2 wore. You can see that they can make the iris as big or small as they want.

Re: So I finished a new costume, can you guess which one?

There is a very Jar Jar moment that could possibly make you lose all respect for Burton and the film. lol

What?! You don't do the Futterwhacken, Toby? You were the best in all of Witzend! :lol
I thought it was awesome...definitely a Burton touch!

Excellent work on the costume, mate....:thumbsup

Most of the characters were CGI or had some CGI elements, so really Burton is right when he says there wasn't much to actually shoot in 3D anyways. It's a digital world this film. I could see the use of 3D cams implemented for certain scenes though, regarding the Hatter.

Still think you need to photoshop your eyes bigger in that poster image, they need to take up more of your head space than normal lol. (And dear god did you seriously use the word "love making" in that sentance about this costume? :sick ) But those pictures really came out awesome.

Having been someone who was able to watch this costume come together first hand, watching scraps of nothing become something phenomenal...it really was jawdropping. I'd get a picture message at the beginning of the day going "look my fabric is here!" and by the end of the night, I'd get another picture with the whole piece done, looking movie-perfect. I don't know how he does it so effortlessly, he makes this stuff look EASY! o_0

But dear lord man, someone needs to teach you how to put lipstick on right. >.< (And yet, somehow, strangely, I am perfectly content knowing that you don't know how to properly put on lipstick... :lol hahaha)

I actually bought & threw that wig together just a couple of days before. Can you believe that began it's life as a dark brown human hair?
I'm still waiting for my lace yaki hair wig to arrive. I'm almost hesitant to believe that it'll top this current one.

Oi! TM! Not to be a pitnik but it looks like you gots your buttons swapped around on the right sleeve!!! I humbly point this out to you out of respect for your O.C.D!:lol

Buttons backwards?!?! OH NO, WHAT AM I TO DO??? :lol

I think my eyes are in backwards, or reversed, or something.
Now where is that needle & thread? heehee

Speaking of buttons...........................! (segway)

Where did you find all of your wonderful buttons for the coat? Did you craft each one?

I am finding identical to "close enoughs with mods" but unfortunately all of the companies are WHOLESALE only!!! I don't need 100 of each type!:confused Or do I? :confused

We would expect no less from you:) Wow.
I wonder though...do prop or costume people ever think to themselves "oh, this will drive those prop people nuts!" Like the treasury dept making money more complicated and the counterfeiters getting more sophisticated.

I once joked that after the funkiness of the Wonka coat, that the designer was trying to stump me. Then she created the pinstriped leather Sweeney coat & now this.
They've yet to do so! :lol

Charles, I sculpted & cast the majority of my buttons. If you're interested in having me make you a couple, just shoot me a PM.
