I’ve been working with leather for a bit, making holsters, mousepads, belts, and the like. I started to watch some YouTube videos of people making felt hats and figured if I could make a decent leather holster then surely I could do the same with a hat.
My first was a rabbit felt western weight. I made the hat band and thought it turned out pretty well for a first try. So of course I next had to try an Indy fedora, again rabbit. While working on it I was also doing another western weight but this time in beaver and patterned after the hat in Justified. I got those both done tonight.
I’m quite pleased with all of them but see room for improvement and things to fix next time.
