Well, after maybe 4 years (?) here's the final shots of my replica of a US Navy Mark IV full pressure helmet which was the fore runner of the Mercury Program space helmet along with the full pressure space suit by the Navy...there would be a lot more to do if I were to make it museum quality like an Adam Savage or Ryan Nagata replica but decided to finish it this way and move on to new projects...
Many thanks to Stephen210 who was incredibly helpful throughout this process...

This is awesome. Can you share any details on the work that went into the project? The helmet shell appears to have striation lines from 3D printing, but I'd be very interested to see how this all came together, particularly the interior of the helmet. Great work!

sorry its taken so long to answer…yes, I took measurements from an original casting of a Mark iv and created a 3D model which I printed…the interior is taken out of a trashed vintage era appropriate helicopter helmet and the graphics stamped on the interior were created on my laptop and made into a rubber stamp…which I want to re-do at some point as Im not happy with it…the headset are chamois covers for a sony consumer headphones and a surplus mike I found on ebay that looked pretty convincing (I thought)…
