Come to wonderfest

And a geeky good time was had by all.

Great pix guys; thanks for posting.

I had a blast hanging out with the old gang again, and it was a sincere pleasure to meet some of you for the first time.

You're a funny, talented, interesting bunch, and I'm privileged to have been able to bask, however briefly, in the glow of your SS model-making mastery.

Until next year!

I'm really happy I could help you guys (who I hung with) enjoy their time in Louisville. It isn't my hometown, but have spent plenty of time there and happy to share/show what I know. I figure if you make the effort to come across country, that I should make the effort to make it worth your time.

And I have to say thanks x1000 back at you all. I was embarrassed to have the shortest resume when I looked around the table as we ate dinner. Each one of you have different areas of expertise, but all of you excel at them, and I was humbled to sit with that kind of talent. Very honored.

Not sure I got a chance while there, but really want to thank Gene for spearheading the whole experience -- hope to return the favor some day.

Thank you Q for serving as our unofficial restaurant "host." Your efforts on our behalf were, and are, greatly appreciated.

That was a great display, thank you all who participated, and thank you Jason for putting it together.

I'll have my photos up by the weekend.

Re: Needa's shuttle

I was under the impression that no model was used for Captain Needa's Shuttle. What was used was a black and white sketch that they animated. I believe this was mentioned in the Audio Commentary for Empire.

Sorry for derailing this thread again... but I see things differently: The ship clearly alters its flight path and turns to Vader's Star Destroyer after it exits the Avenger's docking bay - simply not possible with a two-dimensional sketch. And I found no such remark in the audio commentaries (at least not in the DVD editions I own)...

Has there been an opportunity to ask one of the guys to shed some light on this mystery?

Looking forward to your reply...

Cheers!
Falk

And I'm very delinquent in posting in here.....:confused

Had a great time with you guys, hanging out, and just having all around fun. One of the most memorable weekends ever for me.

And some of the icing on top was meeting Kevin, Charles and Rick.

Quincy, you are the best guide out there. Period.

DITTO to everyone else's comments in here!! It was hard to leave!!

Looking forward to next year!

-Sean
