Wow ! I've been wanting to get into toy gun painting myself as a way to practice and refine my painting/weathering skills for my scratchbuilt props. You've done a great job with yours, very nice !

My sporadic thread of stuff returns with Bob-omb! Basically, a bits box rummage came up with everything apart from the string. God knows why I had Mr Potato Head feet, but there they were.

Not a new idea in any way, but I decided to update my old Kenner Ghost Trap to a bit more like the film traps.

All bits and pieces were either made or found in the magical 'bits box' where I work. I had the pedal left over from a previous build, and I wanted to retain the function of the trap. So I found some 4mm tube and attached it to a lens cleaning bulb. A bit of surgery inside the pedal and finally the trap works as it always did.

There is a magnetically operated light inside that turns on when the doors open.

I got carried away with the fake smoke.

Hello all. So, I decided I wanted to make a carnivorous plant to sit on my desk. Initially it was going to be a Piranha Plant from the Mario series, but as I was making it people kept saying, "You're making a Little Shop of Horrors plant!" So I caved to public opinion and gave it a greener paint job.

Main 'body' is a polystyrene egg covered in wall filler with a wedge cut out to achieve the open mouth.

Teeth are carved plasticard. I based the look on the teeth of the great white shark.

Tongue and gums are modelling putty.

I wasted a lot of time and effort attempting to sculpt and cast leaves. In the end I gave up and bought fake leaves for the hobby shop. The base is just a plant pot with florists foam in it supporting everything.

I'm a big fan of the Portal games, and when one day I came across a toy grenade and an artificial lemon in the same shop, I knew what I had to do. What I didn't know until I got on-line was that everyone and they're dog had already done what I was doing, including putting it in a case. Oh well, so much for my originality! Never the less, I still went ahead because I wanted it on my shelf along side my Portal gun.
