CNC Routed Dark Knight suit (Updated 2/25/08) Flawless Pull

I am working on an experimental Batsuit. This is kinda my own Design, it is a cross between the Begins and Dark Knight Suit. Most of you have by now seen my Rangs, Spats, Belts and other items. Most of you also know my products are made on a AXYZ CNC Router. I am now going to try to do a suit. I have started with a machined look because without true 3D capabilities muscle tone would be near impossible

Anyway I have started with the chest/cod, all of the black that you see will be raised latex, and tapered towards the grey. The grey will be like the dark knight undersuit, it will be textured but not quite like the chain mail look. This is Kinda hard to explain. I plan on cutting the 1st mold late this week early next.
Here is the pic of the chest/cod, I’m going to try to design the arms and legs sometime this week.

I just noticed that I forgot to add a little detail, well you guys get the point!

Re: Experimental Batsuit

NO Nipples?! Surely there will be a "bat butt" though, right :confused Mr. Schumacher would be so disappointed....

Very unique design! I like it :) What type of cowl style are you thinking of implementing here? It would have to be something to allow the symbol at the top to be seen since it doesn't appear as though it will be directly over the chest area. Unless you plan to add more detail for this? Can't wait to see the sculpt!

Re: Experimental Batsuit

The piece at the top is the neck plate. I didnt put a logo on this suit due to legal reasons. I will do one seperatly.

Anyway here is an update!

Today I designed the arms and fixed the detail I left out. Tomorrow night Im hoping to do the leg design and wrap this design up.

Hopefully Ill be able to cut this thing next week!

Re: Experimental Batsuit Design Complete (Updated 1/17/08)

Ok Here it is the Complete Design of the Experimental Suit.

I plan on cutting this tomorrow and into plaster this weekend. I will post pics of the Positive mold as soon as I get it cut.

Im hoping to have the first pull later next week. Like I said this is all experimental, there is still plenty of time for my plan and design to go bad!

Anyway here is the Complet Suit Design

Re: CNC Routed Batsuit (Updated 1/18/08) Mold Complete / Pics

Ok, Now that im kinda in over my head here and this is no longer really an experiment since the positive molds are now cut, I guess its just a CNC Routed BatSuit Now :lol

Anyway here are some pics of the mold, the grey area will br the "undersuit" and is crosshatched, the black pieces actually taper into the grey area giving it an awsome "3D" appearance. This turned out better than I had expected. These can also be poured as individule pieces or cut up to be glued onto a undersuit. This should be a very vesitile suit, I hope it gose over well!

Here are the Mold Pics, the detail is kinda hard to see due to flash, but here it is:

Ok,

The legs and arms came out sucessfully,
There was a little filling in and some canding out I had to fo, but the mold is near perfect.

Re: CNC Routed Batsuit (Updated 1/25/08) Plaster CHEST Mold Pics

I can finally show off the chest mold. It pulled nicely!

Im still waiting on my latex, as soon as it gets here Ill be pulling a complete suit. I have also designed 2 different chest emblems for this suit a Dark Knight and an "original style". Im also thinking of doinf a Steel type Solar Superman Suit out of the, we will see if that pans out.

First things first here are the pics of the chest mold!
