Sorry for lack of updates on my end, guys.
I'm working hard to move out a large number of projects to pave way for this run.
I will be getting a batch email update going soon. One thing I'll need right away is anyone who has not yet sent their belt clip kits to do so ASAP with a note included with your name/rpf user name.
Derrek and I both share our appreciation for your patience - it will be worth the wait!

Looks like I am too late to get a clip. August third was apparently the order cut off. Darn.

Here is the list of clients I have for my finishing services - I am in the process of compiling a batch email to keep everyone up to date. If you don't see your name here and you intend to have Derrek send your hilt kit to my shop - you MUST submit that order form ASAP so that I can plan accordingly!!

No, you can still order the clip kits!

August 3rd was just the cut off to get *additional* spring, hardware and spacer kits. The rest of the kit is still available to order.
Hey, @dday and @yourmaster69, I have a couple of questions. Forgive me, but I am only asking as I need to place an order for parts and electronics to complete this build. I am getting very excited. I figure these questions could help the others as well.
1. I see there have been several revisions to Guabe's original design. Regarding heatsink, is this kit designed to accept the standard TCSS MHS heatsink module (with lip) or do we need to source a different sized heatsink for the main blade? I know we have the quillion heatsinks covered. I have looked at his thread and am still unclear.
The middle of the saber is the same through all of the Versions that Guabe did. It should be set for the standard MHS parts.
2. Do the quillion heatsinks accept a lens or are we going bareback with the LED stars? I assume tri-cree because of the middle hole?
A lens is probably best to be used. It will need a little trimming like the tri cree but will sit right on top of the LED and be locked in by the blade.
3. Is there any way we can get a list of the screws we will need to complete this build (and keep it as accurate as possible...)? Also, I assume some holes are going to require tapping..?
All holes should be pre tapped, to my knowledge. All you will need are the 3 M2 Hex heads that lock down the shroud over the core on top.
4. This is most likely a DUMB question, but are the wire holders meant to be attached to the main body via a 2-part epoxy/glue of your choice? Also an assumption.
Yes. There are no spots that are reserved, or key holes for them, you can place them as you like.
5. I plan to attach Luke's clip. This clip lines up with the middle of the cut out section. I remember talk about alignment issues with the lower section and revisions of the cad files. Can we expect these lower sections to line up appropriately with the top sections or is there going to be a bit of fitting required?
We did a revision that should have fixed the misalignment. If for whatever reason it didn't fix it, you'll just need to file down a little of the thread to get it to lock sooner. The spacer part of Lukes clip will need a little filing down at the end because of the greeblie that is on the saber, in order to get it to sit flat.
Forgive me for putting you guys on the spot, not my intention. Also, forgive me if you planned to provide this info upon shipping. I have 100% confidence that these sabers will be unparalleled. I am just chomping at the bit and preparing myself for the task at hand. I have no intention of shoving this thing in a box in the closet and forgetting about it for a year until I get bored... (poor Solo's Hold V2).
No on the spot at all. these are all valid questions and I'm happy to provide them as best as I can. I'm just as excited about this as anyone else. I started this run because no one else would. So I'm just a fan trying to get things out to other fans. Large saber runs are tricky and a lot of work. Scott has been great by spending a lot of time back and forth to the machinist and working with me to get the parts out to everyone, not to mention casting a lot of the details parts for folks at no additional cost. There is 0 profit in this run for us, not even covering some of our own costs incurred. Everyone in on this run has been great and I'm glad to have been a part of it.
Thanks in advance.
You're the best!! I sent the google signup form but haven't heard anything back yet.
I am having a big issue with my email server. Outgoing messages are not being delivered. I'm in the process of sorting out the issue. If I can't get it resolved by Monday I will use my personal email account to update customers on my list.
I have been receiving everyone's add on parts. Haven't had a chance to do a roll call yet but I'll be sure to triple check everything before we begin production.
As stated earlier, anyone who wants their belt clip and/or emitter plugs installed will need to ensure I have those parts in hand prior to finishing work.
