CLONE WARS weekly discussion thread

Yes, part 2 is next Friday.

Ahh, right. That's a heck of a cliff hanger to end off on. The second episode does set up a lot of dynamics for next season, and I can say that I'm really excited for what they have in store. I wouldn't judge Maul's return by just the "Brothers" episode.

My only complaint is that they should have had him look like he will next week with two legs instead of Spidermaul. That was goofy. I would have liked to see a straight up fight with Obi Wan instead of him fighting both Savage Opress and Maul. He could have said "Now I'm the Master..." :lol

I liked spiderMaul, but I'm glad it's temporary. I wouldn't have wanted him to stay that way. And I hate the long horns, so good riddance.

Hopefully Savage (Maul-lite) dies or something so we only have one of them running around.

I was thinking that too, but them I remembered he's probably taking Savage as an apprentice....always two there are....of course Clone Wars has shot that on out the window, but whatever.

How do you figure this? Sidious is the only TRUE Sith Master. Tyrannus is his apprentice. Anyone he takes he can call anything he likes, but until he defeats Sidious, there are only two Sith.

From the previews I saw online, it looked like Maul felt abandoned by the Sith and of course hates the Jedi...oh, and is WAY around the bend now.

I think with people like Savage, Ventrees, and now Maul, they are not necessarily looking to become Sith but... The rule of two of the Sith Order, is just a rule and as all rules, they can be broken. The only reason the rule of two exists is because it was decided the Sith became weak be too many drained the dark side powers. So any of those three could start following the ways of the Sith. Palpatine and Dooku would be forced to seek them out and destroy them (it's not like they can just sue them for illegally becoming Sith) and Dooku wants to do that anyhow because they have their personal grudges. Technically with Maul still being alive, there has been 3 sith after Dooku came along. I would have to believe, once a Sith, always a Sith but I am just guessing on that. I would have to believe it was Maul's use of the dark side in his hatred and urge for vengeance that helped him survive in the first place.

How did Anakin remember 'feeling him' either? I don't recall him ever really even facing Darth Maul, except seeing him far away, and he wasn't trained in the Force yet so wouldn't likely have remembered what he 'felt' from his presence. Now Obi Wan, he should have been the one to feel it.

My biggest question was on the planet whan Ventris trained Savage, he turned on and killed his brother. now Maul who he never knew about, he finds out about him and searches the galaxy for him? What about the brother he killed...

Star Wars names are often stupid.

Ree-Yees has three eyes?

Ephant Mon looks like an elephant man?

Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Yoda.

Jek Porkins.

Jar Jar Binks.

Dooku.

Am I the only person who doesn't care about Darth Lawl and can't wait for it to be over? They've been teasing about doing an adaptation of Obsession like they did with Slaves of the Republic with all of the sympathetic screen time that Ventress is getting, I wish they'd hurry up and do that.
