CLONE WARS weekly discussion thread

For those not aware, StarWars.com is still doing the episode guides for each episode that include galleries, trivia, behind the scenes video. They are posted on the Monday after the release of the new episode.

Haven’t been on the forum in a few weeks, I’m shocked to not see any discussion of the new series here?

Is there another thread?!

I thought it was a little too easy that the natives came around to appreciate the Republic forces so quickly. After all, they did exactly what they promised they wouldn't do---bring the war to their village. They didn't have to return there after escaping the complex.

He isn't wrong, but they still went back on their word. "Okay, we DID bring the war to you, but we decided you needed us to." Unasked, they took it upon themselves to make a life-changing decision for the entire community. (They pulled a Captain Kirk!) It's a good thing the Poletecs are level headed. Most human communities would have blamed Rex & co. for the deaths of their loved ones.

But it does show, intentionally or not, that the Republic's ideals are being compromised bit by bit.

Too bad Wrecker didn't get to actually SEE the big kablooey he made! ;)

As with all of these shows, the dialogue could use a little tweaking. Some of it is redundant or borders on Yogi Berra-isms.

"...bring us a victory, i̶n̶s̶t̶e̶a̶d̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶d̶e̶f̶e̶a̶t̶."
"If that's where you feel your place is, then that's where you belong." That is the very definition of belong.
Great scene though!

well, that was kind of a nothing episode. "Filler", I think the kids call it, which is one thing when there's 20 or 22 episodes in the season; but when there's only 12...

They laid out the building blocks for a character-building moment with Ahsoka, with all the upstairs/downstairs talk, but they didn't show it sinking in. She didn't have a realization or make a new decision, etc.

That was such a shame. An Ahsoka episode and it was SOOOO boring. She's got to go find herself. Okay... No ****. And two throw away characters, one who is the main one for the episode? Just so boring.

And just nit picking, I really hate how that style of speeder bike. The raked front end and "fuel tank" and even exhaust. Just too real world. I know it's been around in the Star Wars world for a while, but I just really hate them. If you put wheels on them, they'd pass as motobikes and that just takes me out of the Star Wars world.

Just saw the bad batch arc... love the general idea and the characters, I always loved the Clone chapters, the less Anakin the bether for me jejeje
but the dialogues are to basic! I get it's a child cartoon, but this final season most of all is for the long time fans, it's been 10 years of evolution for this series, and it's been 10 years of growth for the child who watch it from the beginning, they should work a little harder there. I can stand the worst animation if the dialogs are good.
