Christian Bale Calls it Quits After Dark Knight Rises

Ah yes another reboot after this, then they can do Joker, Two-face, Catwoman and Bane for yet a third time. After all Batman doesn't have many villains to pick from.:rolleyes

It would be the fourth time for the Joker and Catwoman if you count the 60s television series and the Halle Berry movie. :D

Wouldn't it be 6 for catwoman? There were 3 in the 60's series alone. At least the series did loads of different villains :)

How do we have five pages about something that most of us knew from the beginning? What's the big surprise here?

But looking at the posts, I think this thread has just turned into a "My favorite Batman is _______" anyway, so...carry on. :lol

The Nolan stuff is pretty cool, but not as immortal as the fans would make it seem, IMO.

This is why I've so loved the Arkham Asylum/City games. It really feels like I'm playing through a Batman comic, and I get to go up against a large number of players in Batman's Rogues Gallery. And, contextually, it makes sense because you're in the two largest prisons where Batman's enemies naturally WOULD be.

But, my point here is that I've found Hugo Strange to be a particularly compelling villain in the game. I think he'd have fit quite nicely into the Nolan continuity, especially for a third film where Batman is a hunted vigilante. But I guess he'd be too non-superpowered for Batman to face. Ah well.
