Charlie pushed Chuck a little too far! 2 1/2 Men canceled mid-season

You know I like him as an actor and besides the drugs and treating his wives like crap, I didn't think it was that bad. I mean I'd party like that (minus drugs) if I had that money. Now though he just sounds like he's batsh*t crazy. He also sounds like a huge a**hole in the interview. The only good thing was that he didn't crap all over fans of his show. I'm thinking that if he doesn't think he has a problem and doesn't get help we're going to wake up one day finding out he OD'd in a hotel somewhere.

If you REALLY wanna be disgusted at pay, the last year of Everybody loves Raymond, Ray made reportedly 5M an episode - and that was like 5 years ago. Jerry Seinfeld turned that much an episode down for another year of Seinfeld.

why be disgusted.....how much did the studio make off of him?

from what i heard to shut down 2 1/2 men for charlies rehab cost the studio 250000000 from ad revenue and syndication costs

the reason he was paid so much is because they made so much...

His life is pretty much unknown to us - but from what Emilio revealed because of their mothers relationship with their dad, she wanted no part in the boys lives. Emilio said everytime they would visit her she would ask for money or have them take her somewhere to buy her something expensive. This has to screw you up in a way - especially toward women.

I like the dude and have since Lucas. I've always said people giving anyone too much power will destroy them eventually. Sheen is simply a victim - yes, a victim of the Hollywood machine. I've never worked on a show or been involved with a production that didn't have a total jerk in the center of the storm calling the shots. You need those people - but when they collide with an actor who knows there is no show without them -- well.... This is what happens

The only good thing was that he didn't crap all over fans of his show.

Sure, unless you count this:

And Two and a Half Men, the show, which has been paying him more than a $1.2 million an episode? Sheen called it "dribble" and "pukefest that everybody worships."

as crapping all over the fans.

The one really suffering is the kid actor on the show. Where is he gonna get another job like this one if the show tanks?
I still vote Will Arnett. He was great on Arrested Development. That show should never have been canceled! The show might even be better with him.

Sheen is simply a victim - yes, a victim of the Hollywood machine.

I do believe that is a big part of it, and people need to also look at the entire picture... Sheen certainly has his fair share of issues and I'm not defending those, but I highly doubt it's as one sided as the media is hyping it to be...

Sheen isn't the only one tossing insults, Lorre has done his fair share as well to invoke a response from Sheen... So it's hardly one sided, Lorre was much more subtle but just the same he has been taking swings... God knows what goes on in private...

Suits and creatives are always going to be in conflict because suits don't know the creative side and creatives don't know the suit side, as a rule. Guys in-between hate everyone; thus as it ever was.

All i know is that if I had Two and a Half Men money, I'd be living on the moon right now.

Darkhelmet, that means the shows future hangs in the balance. I've never seen it more than a few times. Not much of a loss to me.
I agree i wish it was cancelled long ago. Dont agree with the values it portrays at all,
Good riddiance I say. Just hope and pray that Charlie gets his stiff together

*****, you want " THE " definition of an addict
it's that quote in the Interview...

"" He admis to taking great amounts of cocaine but claims he can quit his addiction on command and that he was clean during the interview. ""

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, sure Charlie... :rolleyes

Yeah, it's amazing the reality that some people won't admit happening around them.

Regardless of whether you like the TV show or not (I'm in the latter category --- generally can't stand live-action entertainment produced after 1990), we're talking about the life of an individual who has family members who care for him AND at least 5 kids he's financially and emotionally responsible for!!!!

What part of tragedy isn't in that?

Could it be possible that CBS and the producers DO NOT want to be responsible for this guy killing himself .... that they DON'T want to facilitate it by employing him further and giving him another $5 million to get drugs with????
I'm NOT naive in believing that they haven't been using him because they KNOW he's the draw but Charlie has reached a point that even all but the most callous and cynical of us know is the big turning point.

Look, Charlie's behaving like a brat on top of being someone who obviously isn't thinking straight. He has a lot of baggage to deal with and has to act like a responsible adult, too. He needs to stop with the excuses and stop facilitating his own death.

This happens with a lot of other people every weekend who go out or stay home and get wasted on their choice of booze or whatever kind of drug they think will knock them for a loop for a day, or the entire weekend. It's sick behavior for an individual but even worse if they have family and kids around to see what they're doing to themselves.

For those of you who have no sympathy for your fellow human beings, I genuinely feel sorry for you. You don't have to like everybody but lack of respect for life in general is a sad condition. Part of what being human is and having a meaningful life is caring beyond yourself. That's not touchy-feely talk, either. I do believe we're also very much responsible for taking care of ourselves AND staying engaged with the rest of humanity.

Charlie's responsible for his ****ty behavior in general. He won't last two years until he sees what he's doing to himself and the people around him who care for him and commits seriously to rehab and dealing with his personal demons.

Seriously, he won't live two more years if he keeps down the path he's going on...

It strikes me that he's suicidal, and this is the way he's chosen to go out. I think he must seriously loathe himself, loathe the industry he's in, and loathe everything about his life. Why else would he take such steps to systematically destroy his career and his life? I think the guy must be so f-ing despondent that he just doesn't care anymore, and his attitude is "Nothing matters, so I'm just going to go for the temporary fix until I finally die. And if that happens tomorrow, hey, **** it."

I think you nailed it.

Having seen ten minutes of it, I think this is a good thing... let the healing begin!

The guy is clearly in a manic state of a bipolar disease.
flight of idea, rushed speach, complex round a bout logic,

The man needs diagnosis and treatment

Here's the promo for the interview:

TV TEASER: ABC’s Charlie Sheen Interview – Deadline.com

Did Sheen say he was a "Warlock Vatican assassin" somewhere?

EDIT: oh, he did:

http://www.buddytv.com/articles/two-and-a-half-men/we-are-high-priests-vatican-as-39499.aspx

Charlie Sheen said:
We work for the Pope, we murder people. We're Vatican assassins. How complicated can it be? What they're not ready for is guys like you and I and Nails and all the other gnarly gnarlingtons in my life, that we are high priests, Vatican assassin warlocks. Boom. Print that, people. See where that goes."

Charlie Sheen said:
"I'm sorry, man, but I've got magic. I've got poetry in my fingertips. Most of the time--and this includes naps --I'm an F-18, bro. And I will destroy you in the air. I will deploy my ordinance to the ground."
