Ceramics - Star Trek DS9 Raktajino Mug

I can't be sure about the exact color match but at least it seems that they used that design as well, as documented in here: HotJo Travel Mug by Highwave — Star Trek + Design
It's the maroon/purple mug specifically that the new Hotjpo mugs doesn't match up with the original mugs with their triangular wedges between the mid section and the rim section and the original mug has the notched handle.

Here's a picture of the one in my collection. I can take measurements and additional photos tomorrow, just let me know what you need.
That's awesome! If you could take a photo showing the handle in profile (exactly at right angles to the viewer) and at the same elevation as the mug (so I can trace the profile without too much perspective distortion) that would be incredible. And another photo showing the side opposite the handle. Then measure the diameter of the top and the base, and the height. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated - thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I want to put a sounder in the base so it tells people to "Come to Quark's, Quark's is fun" - but it'll have to be removable so that it's dishwasher safe.

Oh, thanks for the clarification. I didn't notice that detail. Yeah, I stand corrected. The new version is not a match.

Will do!

The cup with a tilt-activated sound board has been a wish of mine for years now. I can't wait to see what you and your wife come up with!

See attached. Let me know if there's anything else I can provide.

Not to be that guy, but as amazing as the maroon mug is, it does look undersized compared to the other two mugs. The Raktajino mug is bigger and the base flares out a bit more.
Regardless of that, these are really great mugs, congratulations to your wife for her stellar work.

Hey, no worries at all - we're all nerds here :)

The maroon mug was made using "measurements" from some screenshots of DS9 - we didn't have a real one for reference. If someone can measure the height and the top and bottom radius of a 'real' HotJo then I would love to measure and compare!

Ours are coming out of the kiln at around 4.75" tall (12cm). The base diameter is 4.33" (11cm) and the rim diameter is 3.3" (8.5cm).

At least we can avoid being sued by HotJo as they're "inspired by" rather than replicator-cloned :)

Hotjo's loss is your gain.
Still a fantastic replica, don't get me wrong.

I'm happy to take measurements and send them your way, if they'll be of use.

See photos below. The mouths to the straight sided "quarks" mug and the maroon, conical raktajino mug are virtually identical. The maroon raktajino mug is a hair shorter than the "quarks".
