Casting lead, I want to make a car crash

I would like to make a detailed car wreck. And I was thinking of casting a die-cast car with lead.

What would be a good mold for the car body? I was thinking some type of plaster of paris, dental stone etc

Ideally the car body mold would allow me to make a semi thin walled copy so i can crumple at will!

Thanks

Chris

I'm not an expert, but I've seen people model damage with lead foil. They would take a regular car model and remove the plastic where they would want the damage. Then they put lead foil in place which could replicate shredded metal. I've never done it so maybe someone here would have a better idea.
