Captain Rex Helmet WIP

I'm a big fan of The Clone Wars and, since I costume as Anakin, my favorite clone is Captain Rex. This helmet is a Sci-Fire kit, it was damn near perfect when I received it. I just had to clean up the very thin seam line and a couple tiny imperfections here and there and I was good to go.

I still need to add the rangefinder and visor to finish it up. I also plan on adding the grimy weathering but I'll need to practice a bit first. The helmet in the show is really dirty but not overdone, I'll have to find that nice balance.

The helmet is just for display. The inside's a bit too narrow for me, I can't get my head in it!

Very cool piece. What I love most about Rex's helmet is that they went back to the original Empire designs for Fett and drew from them (the Clone Wars team has done this on numerous occasions, especially with the Johnston and McQuarrie artwork - it's always neat to see). Those "eyes" look really great on that style helmet.
