Captain Jack's Wrist Computer ? anyone ?

with torchwood just around the corner and him sporting my favourite wrist computer has anyone yet been able to make this cool futuristic wrist device

also if anyones interersted there are a couple of easy props to make shown on the torcwood site www.bbc.co.uk/torchwood

I've started on one. This is as far as I've gotten.

The actual:

I sized it by assuming that it's a 5mm led being used. I plan on using a 3mm led to light up the little angled screen.

I have no idea what to do for the band. I have no leather working skills as of yet.

I really need to get back to this along with the sonic blaster seen in the other thread.

Does anyone know if Torchwood is going to be shown in the U.S.?

It's really close, but I don't think it's what was used. Perhaps just inspired by?

Everything I have so far is lasered plexiglass.

Yup, I have that phone (although it's died now) and that control pad circle is from that.

The leather band reminds me a lot of a bondage cuff (don't ask), although I've not seen one in brown leather before.

Although a quick google brought up these: Cuffs (Page has NSFW links) and they're very similar to the kind of thing I was remembering.

well torchwood will be on tomorrow i cant wait to see what goodies they will have on show, also from what i read of radio times they have the doctors hand that was cut off in the christmas special stored in the Hub there hq close to the front door, you can even see it on there site at www.bbc.co.uk/torchwood

Hi,
That pad is definately from the A300, and I have seen the buttons also but cannot remember what they were on. I think it was some cheap gizmo from the pound shop that made noises or a small cheap travel alarm. I will keep my eyes open for you.

Yeah, I'd go with the Tobacco too. Although maybe just a tad darker. Although, I couldn't find another pleather supplier online to compare colours...

EDIT:Ignore me, I was reading the label and then looking at the shade above, Italian Tan. Tobacco is fine.
