Captain Deadpool

Hey all, just finished my Captain Deadpool for DragonCon. Hopefully I'll see a few of you there at the Marvel Shoot. I used 2000 large red scales from TheRingLord and a metal sled for the shield. My only complaint is the vinyl stripes and baggy shorts look like I've gained 20 lbs lol. Hopefully I'll be able to add some action shots in a couple weeks.

My inspiration for this costume was I made a metal scaled Captain America a couple years ago and had a great time doing it and have been looking for more scaled costumes to try (I have a Deathstroke I'm almost ready to post for here). I've wanted to do a Deadpool for a while now and I think I finally found one where I'll be able to stand out and be unique... well unique for a Deadpool that is :).

I've been off and on working on this costume for 9 month but it didn't take nearly that long to do. The scales took the longest but it's really only a couple weeks work infront of the TV. For the shield I used Irishlad's tutorial and the longest part was stripping the old paint. Only took a day to trim the metal edge, couple days to strip the paint, and a couple days to paint.

The white and black stripes are just vinyl pieces sewn together with a zipper and the belt was purchased years ago from theWrapofCons.

The mask was an old $15 captain america latex mask that I painted red and black and glued some white fabric inside the eyes. All that over a red mask.

I have a ton of progress pics if there is a want for them to be posted in here, just dont want to spam this thread.

Hopefully this picture looks like I laid off the Chimichangas. More will follow after this weekend
