So I screwed up while making the sides. I tried to make it with a rough measurement, but didn't have anything to attach it too. I need to get a body form. So I ended up doing a rough fit on my body, and found it was about 4 inches to short in the back on either side. So here is the new measured one. It should be big enough. I am a 33 waist, but made the new one for a 37 inch waist.

Oh, and while I was at it, I fixed the inside top notch. Notice the difference at the top between the two.

Brilliant! I wish I had the skills for that. Of course, while you're at it, you can always practice making the flag for the left shoulder as well;-)

Having to remake the stomach piece. Do not use super glue to attach the pieces behind the fabric. Not only does it bleed through, but it also makes the fabric hard and brittle. Lots of mistakes trying to do new things.

I don't know if this helpful or not, but for past projects like this I've used Tanner's Bond Contact Cement. It holds really well and allows the fabric to remain flexible.

That's the one. Looks like the little embroidered name tapes for a kevlar headband or on the sleeve of an ECWS jacket... just in blue and silver and not OD and black.

For the SHIELD badge and flag you could get away a patch. It looks like the flag has a slant like a parallelogram. I have seen flags that are close in color but they were rectangles.

Thanks! I'd say the diameter is no more than 2", maybe even 1.5".
