Captain America: The Winter Soldier (Post-release)

Doesn't mater they were hydra, they were posing as a shield strike team, so they were doing what an authentic shield team would have done, up until shield fell that is ! But the boat scene was business as usual.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier was fantastic. In midst of all the exhilarating action, mystery and humor, the movie is also infused with emotional moments.

It was such a well crafted story, along with some terrific fight sequences and great visuals. Many of the supporting characters including the villains get their moments to shine.

It's the best Marvel Phase Two film so far and probably my favourite Marvel film right above Avengers. I plan to see it again soon.

I agree. Just got back from a late night show. Very well executed and definitely one of the best Marvel films to-date. It was worth the IMAX ticket price!

Love it...but disappointed with the continuity errors from Cap:TFA. Watching both movies back to back in a double feature really highlited the differences.

Still...thought it was outstanding and worth seeing again!

As a huge, longtime Cap (and especially Bucky) fan, I'm beyond thrilled with the film. Specifically set aside funds so I could afford to see it a couple times.

Now to start on Winter Soldier...

I enjoyed it. It is going to be interesting to see how they handle the fallout from Shield almost being taken over by Hydra in the next movie.

I'm not a fan of the Avenger movies (but enjoyed the Avengers as a kid) however, Cap and Ironman were my two favorite Marvel characters growing up (haven't followed them since the mid 80's). The 1st IM was great, everything after that in the movie series was a let down for me, with the exception of Captain America (not great, but good). That said, this trailer looks freaking awesome! I doubt I'll see it in the theater, but will be checking it out on BR for sure.

Great film, I've seen it twice, but the Soundtrack was absolutely TERRIBLE Henry Jackman really dropped the ball on that one.

This movie has officially pushed long-standing Iron Man out as my fave solo Marvel Studio film. Not quite Avengers but not far off either. Just a well-executed movie from head to toe. And the action scenes :eek Practical effects FTW!

Saw it for the 2nd time last night thanks to an event put on by Skype. Here is our group at the Arclight Theater in Hollywood! I'm the Cap on the right and my Son is the little Winter Soldier. ;)

Mid credits scene: The twins. Can't wait for Avengers 2. That is all.

Edit: And I'm calling it now. Baron Zemo will be the antagonist in Cap 3 because of a certain appearance by one of his partners in the mid credits scene. And I'm also calling a lead in to something to do with The Thunderbolts.

Does anyone think that with this movie and possibly a new wolverine and spidey that logan and peter parker will be added to the avengers. It would be comic book screen awesomeness

Not with Fox owning the X Men rights and Sony owning the Spiderman rights.

A solid action film, political thriller whatever. Some of the hand to hand combat scenes are really great. Comedy is finally dialled back from what was present in Iron Man 3 and Thor 2. Shakes up the status quo for the Marvel universe. 3D is a mediocrity, stick with 2D, but that's a given now surely.

When the first Captain America movie came out, I thought the reactions expressed here on the RPF were WAY too kind. I didn't think it was a very good movie at all. Winter Soldier is much MUCH better. Tighter. More action. And yet slows down enough for some really nice character moments. And it's great they got Robert Redford since they clearly drew inspiration from Three Days Of The Condor. Finally, the Falcon looked awesome! The wings - the FX shots of him flying - really well done.

Saw it today and loved it. Thought it was really one of the best Marvel movies so far. Way better than The First Avenger. Also, loved the little nod to one of Sam Jackson's other famous roles on the headstone at the end. :)

What continuity errors did you notice?

I don't recall Cap doing all that much before going into the deep freeze was what I noticed, they suggested that he ran a lot of missions with his buddies but I don't think that he met them until the break out and Cap fell into the ice not long after that (I think).

There was a montage sequence in TFA that implied he covered a lot of ground back in the day.
