Captain America: The Winter Soldier (Post-release)

Great film! Very impressive visuals, even in 3-D it was easy to track the action. The plot was great, with the right amount of humor. Overall a winner!

I was annoyed at the product placement though. Seriously, could they focus any more on labels of, well, everything? Except his shoes, I have no idea what brand they are, though they did talk about them enough... did I miss a joke or something?

Oh, an I did notice one continuity error. When Pierce is at home, he offers milk to the Winter Soldier. After pouring it, he puts an orange juice container on the counter. That's all I got! :)

SPOILER BIT AHEAD: The one thing that bugged me is in the first big Cap/Pirate fight onboard the freighter. He FINALLY manages to knock out this bad ass guy and just leaves him lying on the floor to go have a one on one with The Black Widow nearby. I immediately thought: How stupid is that? This dude's going to wake up and escape or try to kill them or both. And, well... you know what happened. She says, "That was my fault." I disagree. It was Cap's.

The first running shoes were light gray, type unknown. Later from Under Armour, only clear view looked like Electric Blue Apollo's: Men's Under Armour SpeedForm Apollo Running Shoes*| FinishLine.com | Electric Blue And the last pair, bridge fight, were custom Nike Lunarglide 4's, no longer for sale.

I wonder where Captain America's shield landed?

Everyone hear the Stephen Strange name drop? I would like to see that screen with all the targeted names on it. Definitely going to be pausing the blu-ray on that.

I really wish they would have had Sam Wilson wearing a red/white outfit at some point, maybe while he was running.

I'm probably the only person who wanted a Wilhelm Scream when Captain America knocked that one guy overboard.

Too bad Fox and Marvel/Disney couldn't have worked together to cast the same actors for Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch.

I loved the visual effects of Scarlet Witch's powers. Subtle, but there. Nothing too grandiose. In short... perfect.

I loved this one. I saw it yesterday and will see it again

Only 2 things bugged me. (SPOILERS)

1: he only has the blue shield for one scene and it suddenly changes back to the red one later with no explanation. Are there two shields.. One just for night missions?

2: The WW2 suit he changes into is not the same as TFA... Different helmet (look at the A) and it has a 3rd red stripe (down the middle )... Was this supposed to be a bad replica of the TFA suit he puts on instead of the original?

Other than those two small problems I loved it!!!

I had the same thoughts about his shield. There should be only one right? Did't they say it was made from all the Vibranium there was? WOnder where it is now? Nice find for someone. I half expected the credits scene to be some kid finding it and playing with it.

As for his suit, I am guessing he had more than one version, even back then.

I figure his shield was just repainted. It likely gets repainted every so often due to combat scratching the paint; the blue was probably just for that one op and afterwards it went back to the standard color scheme.

The costume from the Smithsonian is the same as he wore in WWII, the same as how Rhodey and Bruce Banner haven't undergone radical changes in appearance ;)

Seen it twice now. Got a migraine both times (crappy theatre), worth both migraines.

Absolutely loved it, great characters, fabulous action, great dialogue. Also that mid-credits scene made me in particular super happy.

Also, Hey there arivin, fancy seeing you here: :p

Movie was amazing. And great idea on how to incorporate Quicksilver and Wanda. replace one set of twins for the other!

though I will admit when Strucker said the twins, my heart skipped a beat hoping for Swordsman hah

I really enjoyed it, more so than many of the Marvel movies so far.

On a minor note, I really liked that Gary Sinise was the narrator at the Smithsonian exhibit...

Yes, there are two post credit senes. The first was directed by Joss W.

Sent from somewhere in time & space...

I'm not a big superhero fan, and was never into the comics as a kid. I have seen all the movies though. I have to say I always thought I was more of an Iron Man fan after the movies and never really had much interest in CA, but in seeing this film, WOW, I'm a Captain America fan now! It didn't have the amount of comedy that the last Iron Man films had. It had better action than the Avengers. I liked all the characters a lot more than any other super hero movie as well. All in all I was really impressed with it, loved it. I felt bad for all the people walking out when the credits started. We stayed until the very end to catch both extras. Don't know the significance of what I saw (again, was never a super hero fan), but I'm glad I stayed.

"On your left..."

Saw it again yesterday and it was even better during the second time.

And I just can't get enough of the score by Henry Jackman, which is so energetic and at times eerie.

I love the main Captain America theme which runs through the score right from the opening track 'Lemurian Star' and especially in the ending credits 9 mins track titled Captain America.

The Captain America theme almost makes me want to start exercising and working out. Almost.

The Mrs. and I saw this yesterday. Fantastic movie! Action sequences are top notch!! Character development was much better then I expected. Story was good! Overall a fantastic movie!!! I highly recommend it! I'm still debating if I like it better than Avengers. Its very close.
