Captain America: TFA Belt and Holster Rig - Finally done!

Can't believe I missed the whole build process on this one! Everything came out great Kevin. In hindsight after seeing your build and others, there are several things I want to change to my original designs. I thank you for your detailed build process as it has helped me see my mistakes in both design and instruction of assembly for future projects and runs.

Did I mention it came out great?! Awesome job :thumbsup

Thanks bud! Couldn't have done it without your build and of course the leather you provided initially!

This is seriously cool. I have a UD belt on the way with suit, but not sure how to mod it correctly? We'll see when it arrives.

Having zero experience working with leather, I may need someone to hold my hand when I attempt this, or I'd be very willing to pay someone to build one, lol.

Kevin and Sandman, question for you guys. I actually ended up with the belt and holster rig that Sandman originally made that kicked off all this work. Thing is, the rig is really light color-wise. It doesn't really match my boots or UD Replica Gloves. So, my question is: can I darken it up with a healthy dose of British tan dye? It appears there is some type of sealant or something on the rig, do I need to sand that off, use a solvent of some type, or will the dye work if applied directly with no real prep? Thanks for any help you can give!

The shield came from a metal spinning company in Miami. You can find it on ebay, or search the forum here and you'll find all sorts of info and builds. As far as finishing the whole thing, are you talking about the shield or belt rig?

Kevin,

Do you make these set-ups for anyone else? I have the UD belt and pouches, but I'm looking to get my hands on the chest belt/pouches/holster and let straps.

This is just Awesome!
You've made a great work! Hope mine will be good as half as yours, this is a great inspiration for me. ^_^
