Captain America - Learning Curve: Stealth Suit

Re: Captain America - Learning Curve

Yep. Nu-Lifed Red over black boots. Covered really well but due for a touch-up coat.

Here's a shot from a charity event about 2 weeks ago.

Re: Captain America - Learning Curve

Where did you get the boots from and how much?

I purchased 3 components to build the boot: Paratrooper boots -$57, salvaged double-buckle WWII boot cuffs - $24, dissected 10-pocket cartridge belt -$19. Red leather paint and Ritz dye - $13. All held together with snaps.

Time to experiment, but time is also short. Toying with either building a version TWS stealth suit or the Smithsonian suit for the upcoming movie.

Since the First Avenger, I've really dug the harness look for Cap. These are mock ups using my generic comic jacket and my Avengers version.

Leaning toward the look of the first photo with the more complete rigging. Will need to resurface the material to a darker navy and fix the striping to be more symmetrical. Also plan to transfer the Graphic Jordan stealth star from the right onto the finished piece.

This season's Cap suit first incorporated a Maulfett helmet

Second upgrade was dye sublimation from Snakepit Studios on the right side of the photo (left side was suit from same charity event prior year)
