Captain America ebay stealth suit?

Glad to hear you had good luck! Can you post better photos?

THANKS!

Please be more specific about better, which kind of photos You want? I mean, position light, I can Use a Casio Exilim 12Mpx I don't have a better one, these were shot with my i-phone 5 with artificial halogen light. I don't have a photoset or anything similar, sorry!

Regards,

Alberto

I got one. It's missing the shield Strike patch. The outfit comes in a adversely large size and needs to be tailored. The Star is not a plastic like most of them show. It is cloth.

There is someone selling a decent suit on cosplay.com.

Can you show close ups of the side and the carbon fiber areas. It seems he uses a stick on for these rather them being molded. Any good detail photos would be appreciated.

Mine arrived and quite happy of the overall packaging and finish! Fit is a bit tight on the width and a bit loose on the depth.
Have to figure out how to attach properly the chin support, which arrived intentionally not attached iin a separate envelope.
here's the unboxing process:

I was worried from the bad reviews of course, but relieved from what Cousin Dave assured me being one of the best helmets around!
Only thing probably I'll make it a little more matte rather than pretty glossy as it is now. I know a lot about Car Tuning and of course in order to model the carbon cover around such a difficult surface You have to work it a lot, this is the reason why the carbon look appears a little weared. I think he made a really good job obtaining this nice finished look. I left some fingerprints hope You'll forgive having left them in the photos!
I like it a lot guys and the thickness, which was another issue, is pretty even and gives a sturdy feel to the helmet overall!:thumbsup

I'll add the inevitable selfie ASAP.:D

Alberto

Hi Alberto,
How much you pay for this beautifull helmet? Shipping cost include I mean cause I live not so far from you :) Europeans are in TheRPF! (in fact ou USA friends are sleeping, we are alone!)
Don't you take a leather kit?

I got the stealth suit on Ebay....I was supposed to get the one where they show the little Chinese fella...instead I got something that was lighter in color and not of the same quality. The shoulder straps were even quite crappy. I had to have them replaced.

Later I'll post the close ups, but I confirm is a carbon fiber adhesive sheet, the one that is used for Car Tuning ala Fast and Furious, i pointed out in my review! In order to adapt to such a difficult surface You have to heat it and press, in this process he was a little too rough and the surface is a bit too weared, but this can be fixed easily. It's a difficult process but the result on mine is more than satisfying!! I'm asking myself how skilled is this guy, since it adheres such in a great manner, with no detachments!

Alberto

You can see that the very close flash gave the idea that he probably stripped off the paint from the carbon fiber adhesive after painting, the incredible thing is that with bare eye and normal illumination and natural illumination this was invisible!! Weird thing!
After these photos I used a magnifier and ubnder normal (I mean not as intense as a close flash light) was again unnoticeable! But again adhesion of the carbon fiber looks great!
This was shot at almost 15 cm far from the helmet!
Hope this was satisfying for YYou guys!

Alberto

Hi Dams
You can find more info here: http://www.therpf.com/f75/captain-america-winter-soldier-helmet-sculpture-clay-216306/
I paid 300 plus shipping which was 30 (pretty cheap since usually sellers charge You 60-65 at least for a box with the same dimensions!).
I was lucky and got it with no duty taxes, usually I'm not so lucky!

Alberto

All is in leather or good "leather-like" and steel.
in fact, it's exactly like in their ebay's photos.
you can fit all (harness, belt) with "I don't find the english word maybe Velcro" like you see in the last photos
And in order to complete a past comment, I buy from Galaxyfabric but in my package today I find a greetings card signed Thecostumebase.com.
Gaiters are beautifull but they are tall (I don't hâve yet the right big boots so I can't give more precision). With my Salomon boots (who are big for town I mean), it's almost good.

Pretty darn good work for $100 from eBay if you ask me. If these guys produce the AoU Cap gloves and gaiters, I may give them a try.

thanks for all the tips on this forum. Just ordered the stealth sit from Cosplay sky, the harness/gloves/belt on ebay by galaxyfabric, and the helmet from Maulfett here on RPF. from what you guys are saying, sounds like I'm going to have to get the suit altered by a local tailor when I get it. But it's better than not having the costume.

I wanted to do the same thing. I already have the Maulfett helmet and I love it! It is really nice work, I hope you are as happy with it as I am. I too was thinking of buying the cosplay sky costume and modifying it. Before reading this thread I never knew about the galaxy straps.

I was wondering if anyone has been able to order the cosplaysky costume without leather, metal, stars, stripes, etc.? Just buy a basic blue jumpsuit. It seems like it could be a pretty nice suit if properly detailed with better leather work, stars, and stripes.

I inquired about what it would cost without the accessories (belt, gloves, harness, etc) from Cosplaysky and they told me the price would be $30 less.

Open question! Perhaps I missed this but, Has anyone actually ordered the galaxy Fabric accessories that could post photos, or give me some tips. I am kind of on the fence on purchasing at least the leather/metal accessories part of the suit right now. I am quite impressed by the photos on the ebay listing but I am also quite weary when ordering Chinese stuff.

I was looking at these accessories:

THe suit I was thinking of is (the color looks off though):

Any comments or advise is appreciated.

Earlier in this thread there are pics of the Galaxy fabric accessories that people purchased. Everyone seems satisfied, especially for the price.

I havent seen any independent pics of the costume you linked but just based on the eBay pics, the cosplaysky suit still looks better in my opinion.

I received my cosplaysky steath suit today....really pleased but it need some tailoring to really make it shine. image.jpg The standard kit is ok...the gloves are huge the back bracket is fairly sturdy.

Is the whole suit from Cosplaysky, from what I can see the leather looks better than I expected. I think the color of the suit and the star detail look good. Thanks for posting the pic. Seems like Cosplaysky is the right suit option for the money.

You're welcome Thats the look straight out of the bag. You will have to get some tailoring done. Overall it's the best choice for the money and the look. I'll posted the finished product soon :)
