Captain America ebay stealth suit?

I received mine from Cosplaysky a month ago. I did a size large (I'm about 5'9", normal build), with no tailoring and it fit nice. However, It's mainly to add to a static display in the mancave. To me, I think it is a nice addition to the shield and helmet. Would love a "Rogers" patch for the left arm though...

I am amazed at your display! It looks very similar in style to Captain America display on the helicarrier in The Avengers, even similar steel plate background. Your images just sold me this suit! My primary reason for buying the suit is also for a static display, So it don't really matter if the size is perfect, but I do want it to fit at least OK, just in case I get to use it sometime. I am 5'-7 1/2" and roughly 160. I figured I would try a Medium based on the size charts. It sounds like the custom order is not worth the money. I already ordered the Galaxy leather work.

I cant wait to see what the whole thing looks like set up in my basement with the Maulfett helmet and the efx shield. I definitely now want to steal your display style and upgrade my display to something similar to yours. Thank you for sharing. What you have displayed is awesome!

Below is a image of my current set up. I cant wait to see what this looks like in a month. The efx shield is shown above, and my home built metal shield is shown below, I bought a helmet, and what kind of looks like a stealth suit is a bike shirt that was ordered from china on ebay for about $30.

Thanks! Thanks pretty much what I was going for. I found a metal dealer in Georgia that had a sheet of the stuff and had it shipped. That's the Marvel wall. I expanded the room around Christmas for a lot of my models, and now I'm out of space again!

I like your setup as well. I wish I had a basement! Mine was a spare bedroom!

Did anyone successfully mod their Ebay stealth suit to have that V cut look like the movie suit? Also did anyone buy the Galaxyfabric suit?

Hiya folks,

I recently recieved my Galaxy fabrics accessory bundle and the coloring is great, encountered several problems though.

The belt, fit great! Very handy with the velcro to add the pouches, nicely adjustable and i ordered a size M(I am a 32 waist).

The gaiters, little bit big on me, but i'll probably just cut off some of the pleather and poke an additional hole in the strap to tighten it.

The harness and gloves are MASSIVE on me(here are the problems). I probably will have to get them altered or ditch them all together. :(. Will post pictures of them soon.

Guess who got his CosplaySky suit? It looks amazing! I ordered a standard medium size, thinking I could tailor it. But it was actually a near perfect fit!

This is what I'm most curious about.

It seems it would require the wearer to have a slim build, start with a slightly oversized jacket, using some sort of denser padding in the shoulders. Not a costume maker, so that's just a theory.

I think the v shape is all Evans. Now the shoulders on the movie suit on the other hand have some rigid padding. That's where I'd mod the suit, gives you that broader look but may not address the v shape on the torso outline.

These are a few photos I took with the CosplaySky suit. I'm not going to do too much tailoring until after I've been on my workout routine for 6 months. As already said above, The "V" look is all Evans. There's a running Tumblr joke that he looks like a Dorito...Anyways, this suit is amazing! Can't wait to see the new AOU model!

I'll agree, partially. To get the exact movie look, it's going to require a very good physique like Evans has. However, after looking up the Dorito joke, even in those pictures, you can tell the color placement, cut, features of the suit, etc. was chosen to help accentuate this look. Plus with the resources available for such a film, they're going to get a great look.

Anyway, I went ahead and placed an order for the AoU suit from cosplaysky. I started to wait and see some reviews from those who have already ordered, but I figured they should have a pretty good handle on the Cap suits now and it's not that expensive anyway. While I have the exact stats commonly listed for Evans (6' and 180lbs), I'm still fatter with less muscle, lol. I've got someone with a lot of costume experience lined up to modify the suit, though the timing coincides with another large event where she'll be doing a ton of other costumes, but I think I have an in with her. Now just got to source a helmet, boots, and a leather worker.

I also ordered some shoe lifts, which are stackable and go up to 2.5". Anyone else used them? Even at 6', I would like some added height, I think it would provide a better overall look. So with lifts, boots, and helmet, should come in at around 6' 4".

I've used those types of lifts. If you're just adding 1-1.5" the same shoe size should work, but if you want to add the maximum 2.5", I recommend getting a half shoe size larger. For me I just use the lowest stack for a 1" lift because I generally find that my boots start to get a little uncomfortable with the 2nd stack, this is true with all 3 pairs of boots I own for costuming.

They're stackable, so I'll try varying heights. Don't want to stumble around like a 5 year in her mom's high heels.

So maybe unless you're shaped like a Dorito, its unlikely you'll get that V look. But how are you guys padding the shoulders to give that super broad look?
