Some people have been trying to figure out the mystery of Hank Moody's typewriter for quite a while now, and after the season finale yesterday (in which we get a great view of this prop), Id figured Id bring it to the attention of our bright minds here at the RPF.

Here are two pictures someone posted in a prior inquiry

Ill try and screencap last nights episode for the clearer view I mentioned earlier. Thanks in advance for all the help

wasn't there a scene where he was carrying it ouside in broad daylight? I'd post caps if I still had the episode.

At a quick glance, it looks to me like an old IBM Selectric II.

My dad used to have one. I wrote quite a few papers on that beast in high school.

Does anyone here remember "White-Out"?

The Selectric was my first thought as well, but if that's the case why have they been having trouble ID-ing it "for quite a while now". Need better pictures to be definitive.

I'm not positive, but it sure looks like the Selectric II I used at my last job:

They were made by IBM in the 70s, and were extremely reliable.

Thanks for the picture Zombie_61. I think the 2nd screen grab really shows the side knob and the tabs on the top to match the picture you posted.

I'm sticking with "FOUND" on this one.
