Re: nerf chicago typewriter and other drek

The Nerf guns are very cool-looking, but seeing the fluorescent foam darts loaded in it kind of ruins the illusion of antiquity. I really like the fourth one, I hope you continue to work on it, because I would love to see the results.

the phone started out as a wrist watch phone from china, they are still quite large but at least round, so I had a chance at making it fit. I trolled E-bay for a few cast off antique cases and finally settled on this big solid lunk, mainly to have enough meat to firmly place the buttons and the watch works. the bezel with the screws around it (fake screws) is the actual wrist watch bezel, turned out its just pressed onto the wrist watch body.

I need to get back on this watch, I was at an impasse trying to get the mic, speaker and camera in the case. the speaker was just too big so I ordered a few replacement speakers for other phones, just a matter of testing them for volume and quality and installing the best for the size.

what really put the brakes on, I broke the antenna lead off the mobo and I can't find the solderpoint. I just bought a stereo microscope so hopefully I will be able to identify it. it might actually be the bluetooth antenna and not the cell antenna lead. I can do without since the range would be fine from my pocket even without a lead.

the camera will just fit but would point out the case to the right on a plane even with the watch face. the quality is so poor that I will just skip it I think the mic is the size of a BB, not a problem to find a place for.

Ive manhandled the working so much, everything inside is a bit worn out, I may have to just order another watch to install fresh electronics.

getting good pics is a bigger pain than building it, too much glare from all the compound angles.

almost forgot, the double barrel is actually a triple. the base gun is one of those dollar store dirty harry magnum squirt guns. I should have tried another go at another squirt gun for the build off, just didn't have the time or energy.
the light saber contest sounds like fun, I need to find a real dollar store around here first!

an older mod that I would like to do to a metal airsoft

another angle but with the old grip on the howdah. very poor piece of wood.

another angle on the pirate blaster. the little port hole glows for days on a couple of batteries, its a small led. I think I still need some sort of lock plate and to electro etch artwork all over it.

Those are some of the sickest Nerf mods I've ever seen. I recognized a few of them, and was blown away by the level of your skills.

Great job!

DUDE!

You are SOO not allowed to enter any blaster building contests! LOL!

Holy cow I don't know where to start! Every single piece in this thread is awesome. That pocketwatch is something I think you could actually market. That would be cool as hell.

I really like the misdirection of the false barrel on the first gun. The paint work on all of them is fantastic.
