building your body for a costume

Reading this topic i'm inclined do try out P90X... I'm getting fatter everyday. And 1 hour a day at home i can spare....

Keep you guys posted.

To add my $.02 worth, I'm starting phase 3 of P90X, and can vouch for its effectiveness.

I have only lost about 10 lbs, but I have moved a lot around (and muscle weighs more than fat, so there you go).

I have gone down a pants size, and have added a lot of size to my arms and chest.

I started with the bands, and it was a good workout, but I recommend dumbbells. The difference is noticeable.

Hope that helps.

hey kenobibale!

I usually stay around 220 - 230 with an athletic body builder build. I have been working out for well over 16 years and have changed my body mass size depending on what character or show I am doing. I am doing the NY ComicCon this October and trying to get myself up to 230 with my six pack for my Ultimate Captain America build. I wasn't as happy with my body size last year so this year I am gonna try and kill it! I am at about 225 right now....

Any ways seeing I always worked out with body builders and power lifters I developed a very good set of workouts for myself and have helped many people with getting them to where they wanna be. If you, or anyone else want some advice message me your current weight and build and where you wanna be, and what type of work out schedual you think you have availabe and i will do my best to help you out!

I've been looking for this thread for a while.
I injured myself quite badly in the gym in the first week of March 2014.
I started back 5 weeks ago.

Since then. I've gone from 248lbs…

As of today.. I'm 230lbs.
Measurements are as follows.
230lbs
6'1"
Chest - 47"
Waist - 40"
Hips - 40"
Thighs - 26" (Each)
Neck - 16.5"
Biceps - 18"

Hopefully I can add to these numbers a little and strip off some more of the fat.
I'm looking to get in to a MOS Suit for Halloween. And a Batfleck for a Con coming up.

If you guys are looking for any training tips or eating tips and plans, let me know I can point you in the right direction.
Oh yeah.. I'm doing this naturally.. No steroids, no chemical help. No HGH. I'm using diet and sweat in the gym….

I've been lifting weights now for about 1 year and 6 months.
I was tired of being so skinny and i wanted to make a change, i wanted to feel healthy and strong.
So my first step was gaining weight, i did this by eating almost everything i got my hands on.
Combining heavy weight training with a high caloric intake and protein rich foods such as meat and chicken proved to be quite effective.
The supplements i currently use are BCAA's and Whey protein.

here are some before and after pictures:
