Now thats posh....Almar, you know you have to now build the 223 variant, you have done a splendid job on this one, well, you all have.
Not really mounted mine yet, just on a panavise, plans are, mine will be incorporated into my Prode Droid display.

Aaarrrghh :angry, painting those markings is a pain in the @$$. I used Tamiya TS-48 Gunship Grey for this.
But I managed to keep my cool and got the job done :cool.
I finally finished this baby. I decided to keep the weathering to a minimum because in my opinion this pod is a 'one time use' item. It is lanched into space and then crashes on remote planets. So I think nothing will be left of this pod once it crashes. Except for the Probe Droid of course :rolleyes.
Anyway, here are some pics.
It was a fun and rewarding journey building this model. Wanna thank you all for your help and supportthumbsup.

Finding them isn't so hard. Just check Ebay. The model isn't very expensive. It's just those shipping costs that were killing me.

Colors look dead on to me! Seeing your results, I'll be using Tamiya Haze Grey as well. I see your point about the amount of weathering....
I haven't decided what I'm going to do yet. Somehow the guys at ILM didn't mind putting at least some weathering on anything. Look at the ANH escape Pod for instance! :confused

Time to join the pod-mania as well. This time the 223 version.
Still need to do some work on it. I've got the 5 nosecones. But I still need 5 tank threads, so if anyone can help me out with those I would be very gratefull. I will pay for them off course.

Thanks guys. I'm still wondering if I should change the base into a winter landscape like Hoth. But I'm to lazy to do it.
