I have completed my prototype pushpin for my overthruster and I am excited to share the results. I remain intimadated at the prospect of applying paint to my overthruster, Shawn.

Here are the parts assembled. I made a few smaller pins out of brass to see how they look Vs the cast buttons.


Wow, after looking at Shawn's and D48thRonin's, I see I really stink at painting. I was trying for a bluish silver, and the can said "blue silver", but it looks green. Is that like chicken of the sea tasting like tuna?

Shawn's overthruster is magnificent.

I was thinking about buying a case but it would hide too much of the beauty and detail of it. I haven't yet landed on a great display for it yet though. The gyroscope that it locks into in the jet car would be perfect but I don't even know where to start with that.

Anybody happen to remember what size Cap Head Hex Machine Screws were used on this? I have a crappy resin Overthruster. It's NOT one of these. It's bad, but I hate to throw it out. Thought I'd look around here on the RPF and ask before I try and guess. Thanks for your time.

I don’t have one of these but at a cursory glance they look like M4 x 10

Cool. Thanks. I didn't find any that small at my local hardware stores (Menards and Lowes) where I could actually see them and judge for myself. I went to order some online and got on shaky ground as to know what size to get.
