As to your question Emma, I took a wild guess and did my skate with aprox. 26 in / 66 cm X 7 in / 18cm

Awesome looking boards! :thumbsup
Do we know the brands of skate wheels were used? From the pictures Roland posted it looks like two different but similar kinds of wheels were used. One wheel is red and the other is bare metal. The picture where it shows the wheels from the front shows that they have different screws. And are there any top and bottom view pictures of the screen used board?
They are a Vintage 60s Pair of Globe Skate Corp.

Wow thats the brand that I bought without even knowing. I have to use some WD-40 and scrub the crap out of them though.
Really great work on these boards, Make Believe! My friend and I have been talking about making some of the gang's hoverboards and this is a great inspiration for our project. I need to find those graphics in the paper props section now!
Hey guys, bumping up this thread, trying to get my head around to finishing this skateboard. I have seen some American black walnut, and seems to be the right colour? Could you guys confirm? What kind of wood would you say that the skateboard is? Thanks!

I started the aging process. I did some tests with some scrap wood and found out that ebony wood stain that is then sanded the crap out of gives me the look I want. It's all done by hand since I don't have my electric sander with me lol. Pictures soon.
Here's my calculation, which I made for another member here a while ago. It seems the 1955 skateboard has exactly the same dimensions as the (Mattel) Hoverboard.
