Re: BTTF III - The Frisbie's Pies

Hi, thanks and wishes to all of you for this Christmas and a new year:D, with respect to the price of frisbie
I will tell you as soon as possible, even a little patience and I'll tell you the price and I will open the list of interested!;)

Re: BTTF III - The Frisbie's Pies

Here I am for an update! I almost finished frisbie, I resized the characters and structure of frisbie, lower and flared (I used a real frisbie 50s!;))
There are only holes, those will be made at the time of the mold! The price I have not defined but will certainly below $ 100.

Re: BTTF III - The Frisbie's Pies

Looks great. Much better than before. What does the bottom side look like? Recessed characters as the screen used plates have?

No, the characters were created in part, behind the disc will be smooth, this also for reasons of the mold and material that would make it too thin, also in frisbie original text imprinted forever in the other direction, as in that of BTTF was done on the contrary, and this I do not understand why!

There's a production plate where the letters are embossed the other way round, but this is NOT a screen used one. All screen used ones have the letter embossed from the inside ^^, which means that they are normally recessed on the back.

Re: BTTF III - The Frisbie's Pies

As Emma said, the characters of the screen used plates were embossed mirrored and recessed on the bottom side, so that they appear raised on the top side of the plate.

Here is a screen capture, where you can see the bottom side of the screen used plate:

Here I am to present the finished prototype, I also made the mold in the back as well as in the photos. The prototype has the back to finish better, this is just a sample
For the color I used an aluminum effect. The price of frisbie is $ 89 + shipping.
Who wants to be on the list to confirm it to me here or send me a PM!:popcorn

Comparing that prototype to the pics of the authentic props, I think those holes should be bigger. Be careful with the positioning and alignment of them too.

Other than that, I think this looks great. Please add me to the interest list!
