BTTF: Doc's sleep generator

I found a set of the plantronics headsets to give to my buddy with the BTTF delorean and the sets of 2015 doc glasses I made, so now all that's left to complete his costume is one of the pocket sleep generators used for knocking out girlfriends asking too many questions.

The only thing I've found so far is this wood replica:
Back To The Future 2 (1989), Doc's E-Z SLEEP, other replicas

and a production sketch on the SE DVD. Anyone have any other reference photos or builds to show off?

Was it made from a razor? I seem to remember hearing something about that.... not sure, though.

That's a rumor. THe actual prop is WAY too big.

Here is the real screen used prop:

Ahh, very cool. Doesn't look like it'd be too hard to build, actually.

Just need some measurements.

Didn't know Screenused had the real part, those are some great pics! I'll add it to the bottom of my Solidworks list and get a model together in the next couple of weeks.

I know this is a really old thread, but if anyone has any measurements at all of this prop I think I can draw this in CAD and 3D print this for fairly easily.

If we believe "Profiles in History", this prop is 7 ½ inches long.

I remember an interest thread in the JY, what happened to it?

I saw that, it was $190 for an unfinished product and over $300 for a finished one. I think I would be able to offer this on shapeways for a reasonable amount, unfinsihed of course. I have CAD skills and a 3D printer for my prototypes before giving it to shapeways to make available to everyone else.

Not 100% sure, but the cylinder on the top appears to be a condenser microphone with the top partially screwed on...possibly one of the old radio-shack versions.
