BTTF bottles.

Re: BTTF Pepsi Perfect

I really like the idea of doing static versions of these in aluminum.

What do you guys think? Machine them in wood like the original static pieces or jazz them up a little in aluminum for a cleaner finish? As mentioned, it would have a good feel, too. I guess I could do both?!

Aluminum could be powder coated leaving nothing to do but add a sticker.

Well, unless you did a Pepsi bottle. You'd have to paint the faux cap on, etc.

Re: BTTF Pepsi Perfect

Bud Light has a NEW bottle out that is shaped similarly...not the aluminum ones but glass.

Of course a static version of the Slice and Diet bottle would be cool, but a vacuformed Pepsi Perfect bottle would be the end all be all!!!

Re: BTTF Pepsi Perfect

Well, then. Care to share your measurements?

We can compare.

Thanks

Here is a picture of the 3 screen used bottles I have.

Re: BTTF Pepsi Perfect

they were originally shampoo bottles or something, right?

and I think the replicas shopuld definitely be aluminum.

Re: BTTF Pepsi Perfect

You see, I thought the same thing. For years I was under the impression that this was an off the shelf plastic bottle with another product in it.

Re: BTTF Pepsi Perfect

Well, the pepsi perfect bottles are really dark.

I'm guessing there were static versions of those too. I'm gonna do a couple for myself either way.

That wouldn't work for the Pepsi Perfect, as that's see through, right?

Definitely keeping an eye on this! :)

Are you going to make all 3? Are you going to make the Pepsi Perfect bottle out of colored resin?

Re: BTTF Pepsi Perfect

The pop open lid makes them look more like a dishwasher detergent kinda bottle than a shampoo bottle, as they have that square embedded flip-open tap at the top like that - just haven't seen one with such a shape.

Re: BTTF Pepsi Perfect

At Universal Studios they sold oversized versions of the BTTF bottles at the Terminator Ride store. I use to have a pic of one, but not anymore. It was spot on exact except it was about 13 inches tall. It even had the straw inside and was clear...

Re: BTTF Pepsi Perfect

No, I plan to machine the bottles from aluminum or wood.

I'll probaby cut the groove for the flip spout but it will of course remain static. I think I'll just have some powder coated cola color and the others will be white.

This way, I can simply paint the top, add a sticker and have the Pepsi bottle.

The diet pepsi will only require a sticker.

Wow! I didn't check the RPF for one day, and this happens!!! I think this is a great idea guys. I like the static idea for the two colored bottles, but for the see through one, a real one to drink out of would be awesome!

Re: BTTF Pepsi Perfect

I still need screen used measurements if the other ones posted are from the rife bottles...

Anyone? Lotta pics with no numbers. :confused

Re: BTTF Pepsi Perfect

So, are these based on a screen used bottle then?

The measurements certainly feel right.
