BTTF bottles.

Re: BTTF Pepsi Perfect bottles.

Please don't pull my thread off track. I never singled you out.

BUT, since you louded yourself out. I think your logic is silly as all ****.
Besides, it's hardly a one of kind piece we're talking about here...

No matter how many replicas are made your "original" will always remain an original. We're talking about metal replicas here. I'm sure you'd still know the difference between your original and these, right?

Like I said, these will get done. I just find it interesting that the first we'll hear about measurements after they're done will be by those who didn't do a thing to help the project in the first place. They'll chime in as authorites to simply lord over the completed project. "Um' they look okay...but"

By the way; I've posted tens of thousands of dollars worth of replicas made direclty from 'hands on reference' of thier screen used counterparts.

You don't have to share. That's fine. But don't get lippy on my thread about what I would and wouldn't do.
Again, you certainly have no obligation to do anything. You saw a reason to explain yourself...okay.

Thanks, I guess? :wacko

Well, I can only speak for myself! But to keep my screen used bottles "special" I would rather not give out any measurments, sorry.
If someone else gives You the measurnets, fine....but if You spend 5K on those bottles I bet You would also like to keep them special.

The scan made a few post back was great, why dont use that?

Re: BTTF Pepsi Perfect bottles.

I grabbed a few plastic bottles from cat treats that had a similar profile. Problem is, they were too small (11 fluid ounces max).

I think it was this stuff, but the bottle design appears to have changed.

Use your imagination & turn the bottle upside-down.

Re: BTTF Pepsi Perfect bottles.

It could be done...it would be tricky getting the parts to line up just right.

Let me get the metal and/or wood ones out of the way first. :thumbsup

I do have a good size thermo-former, too...hmmmm. Just not sure how exotic I want to get.

after you make an aluminum one, could you make a clear vac form of it? That would be cool.

THAT'S a great picture!

Thank you!

Re: BTTF Pepsi Perfect bottles.

Rylo, I didn't mean to sound like a prick or anything, I just explained MY thought since You asked why "those" with original bottles didn't post a measurement.
These bottles are so cool and deserves a good replica, I really wish You good luck on these and I'm sure they will look great :thumbsup

And as i said before, Jim's scan looked great why dont You use that?? In fact I think it is a movie bottle that he has.

Re: BTTF Pepsi Perfect bottles.

Here is a picture of a bottle made out of steel, heavy as hell.
It is made out of the measurements from my wood bottle I used to own, it was made years ago. The design looks pretty cool when it is in metal.

I personally would rather have a metal one, but if it is a lot more expensive than a wood one, I would rather have a wood one.

Re: BTTF Pepsi Perfect bottles.

Understood. Thank you.

Re: BTTF Pepsi Perfect bottles.

Okay, I prototyped the metal and the cost is insane! They weigh a ton, too. While it sounds like a cool idea, they wouldn't be practical.

I'm going to stick to the wood blanks like the originals. I can keep them reasonable. I'll use maple, too!

More soon.

Re: BTTF Pepsi Perfect bottles.

God choice. I'm glad you are doing this project, I've wanted these bottles for years! Thank you, and good luck!

Re: BTTF Pepsi Perfect bottles.

Well, depending on interest. :thumbsup

Not mine. Just some old jpeg I have in my files - thought they might help in the project.

Oh! Okay. That would have been awesome. Still, thanks for the pictures! :lol
