BTTF 1955 Skateboard and Crate Build

In an effort not to load up Mitastouch's personal collection thread, I figured I would make a post dedicated to the 1955 Skateboard/ Scooter Crate.
Using Rolands measurements I built my crate. If a mod wanted to clean up Mitastouch's thread they can do so here: http://www.therpf.com/f9/my-back-future-props-projects-219318/index5.html
I have ordered a few original labels for the crate. I need to create a stencil for the lettering on the side.
Here is the crate let me know what you think (I dont know why the pictures turned, they uploaded from the correct orientation...)

That's awesome! Thanks a ton Roland!
Weathering is on the list of things to do after I build the skateboard part.
I enjoyed making this today. Best of all was how inexpensive it was.

Having this information now has made me come to the decision to make my crate from scratch as well. I didn't spend that much on my antique crate, so it's not that big of a loss.

Researching how to age wood, I came across the mehod of mixing water and baking soda.

On another note, some scenes in the movie have the board's front end with sharp corners, but in others the corners are rounded. Which design are you going with formula388?

Great work on that crate - looks perfect. And when you "age it and darken it", it'll look even more accurate
Makes me wanna do one to go along with the 1955 skate I made - especially now that Roland has provided the stickers and the stencils (a 1000 thanks Roland)
Keep us posted

You could use Windex glass cleaner or something similar with ammonia in it to age the wood.

Does anybody know how the skates are attached to the board, like a proper picture of it? I am not sure to know how to dismantle mines xD

When I get my HD rip I am going to screen cap every single scene possible to try and figure out all the small details. I have an idea that I think is correct and it involves some drilling and screwing.

Yeah, so that would mean I will have to break the heel as it's molded with this particular bit, what about the other side of the board? it seems a bit different. Like there's the rest of the feet support ?

Same kind of bolts and nuts. It's just different cut.
