BSG- Blood and Chrome - frakking A

@epilepticsquirl....

I designed and made the new colonial sidearms for the show. Keep an eye out for them. Similar to the original pilot guns but with a mild twist. Hope you guys like them.

Cheers,
Kenney

I squeal with the excitement of a giddy school girl! :lol I can't wait to add one to the collection. :love

I frakking loved the show; I couldn't believe I was finally watching blood and chrome. I loved seeing the Galactica again, loved seeing the transports, I also loved the B-25 esque downgrade they gave the raptors. It was also a joy to see the life size mock-up again! The helmets I thought were nicely designed with the Phoenix up top; nicely done.

Can't wait to see more of my beloved show!
Also, Adama needs to man up with the whiskey and stoges quick! :lol

Ok, so where do we sign the petition?

I second that. We need to make it known that this is what we want to see on SyFy...
Just hearing the sounds of the dradis in the opening scenes of Blood and Chrome made me so happy and gave me goosebumps! How I missed just that sound effect alone! :D

New BSG material finally!!! I was wondering when this movie was going to finally see the light of day.

I was concerned about Luke Pasqualino as William Adama but man, it totally works! He is a great young Adama!

I really need this show to go series! SyFy needs to stop with the bullcrap and get a budget for this!

Seeing the Galactica brought a tear to my eye. :*)

Not bad at all, except for the producer that seemed to want to follow the JJ Abrams school of "lens flare" (a guy who worked on this series chimed in about that, apparently they scale it back from here on out). I think I see how things mesh. Husker is a slang term for a Tauron (because they live on a dirt ball I guess), Galactica at the height of the war had a bit more impressive array of stuff. They might potentially tie this into Razor by having Husker stay a Raptor jock until just before he takes a Viper out in Razor (assuming they keep the webisodes canon as they obscured that bit about Husker being on his first Viper mission in the airing of Razor).

Even though the new Vipers are CGI externally, it is nice to see the ole Raptor again, both inside and out. Maybe now we can finally see what one can do as I felt they were a bit under-utilized in the BSG series relative to what they could have been.

Agreed with the above %100! :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

Trust me when i say a lot of us that worked on the show were just as thrilled to see anything BSG again. Can't say I would feel the same for Caprica. I won't admit to having anything to do with that show.... I try not to remember... but it was work in the end. I remember being told once before even starting on that show, that it would have more shoot-em-ups than Battlestar Galactica. LMAO..... ha ha ha he he he OMG..... still LMAO. For how B&C was made, green screen etc etc, it came out amazing. To be honest, and this is my opinion, I kind of like this mini series web show thing. Don't get me wrong, i would love for this to be shown as a complete 1 or 2 hour pilot, there's something about these small segments that are pretty cool. I don't know.... Thats just me. OR... it could be that I was just so excited to finally see the end result that I didn't care how it is shown.

Speaking of the greenscreen sets, to me, the Galactica's CIC doesn't look like its the same layout as it was in the show. Am I wrong on this?

the work is phenomenal. Is there any glimmer of hope at all of B&C getting a chance at another movie or series? I know its about budget but clearly there is enough interest in this that SyFy really has to see there is a winner here with this show! Lots of potential here.

someone needs to make up an online petition so we can start gathering signatures!

Does anyone know of Machinima is shown on regular TV so I can set my DVR to record Blood and Chrome off of the TV?

I don't know if its an actual channel. Machinima.com (the website) was a place where people who made movies and series with the use of video games before they changed their programming, which they went with more original programming.

Also Bobatrek, I expect you to have made headway with the classified mission folder already. ;) :lol

Soon... Working on something a tad bigger at the moment.

I think it's the same but dressed up. I'm sure much of the equipment was mothballed instead of repaired, especially after 40 years of peace.

COMMANDER: That row of hanging monitors just went out. See about getting it repaired, ensign.

ENSIGN: Right away sir. (contacts repairs-r-us)

A short time later...

ENSIGN: Sir, the Admirality said that since we haven't heard from the Cylons in yada yada years, they are going to cut the costs and not worry about the repair/replacement. Sir.

COMMANDER: Well frakkin' gods d(insert tool drop noise)n it! Ensign, get me some coffee, it's going to be a long night.

It's got a dvd/blu-ray release date in February on the episodes.

especially when the OG theme music piped in when the raptor flew over the galactica... o how i wanted to hear the original theme in some form for JJ abrams trek version when we see the enterprise for the first time...

anyway loved to hear the original galactica theme music ... made me feel like a kid in the 70's again... watching galactica ... while waiting for a new star wars film to come out :)

:thumbsup YES!!! I felt the same way. Got a huge smile on my face when I heard that music.

Yeah, but the thing is, the room looks much bigger than the set was, as well as the layout of where the crew stations are.

One of the shots in the first episode a crew man was walking on top of the gantry way (along side a Viper?) and as he was walking he was still sliding forward abit, like back in the old video game days.

i saw that too... there were a few rushed or unfinished CGI scenes for sure. A few shots in the hanger where it looked like Adama was acting against a painting which is why I think the JJ Abrams lens flares were thrown in to hide that unfinished look. Still, 99% of the spfx were awesome!
The flight through the debris field of the Archeron was so atmospheric (in the vacuum of space! :D) that it felt like I needed to hold my breathe like it was all underwater... so well done!

Everyone needs to remember that its about 40 years before BSG so things will have changed. Didn't they mention at the beginning of BSG that it was stripped out and changed around to convert it to a museum(I'm sure they mentioned a giftshop).
