I'm looking for the version of this with the different grips. Anyone know where I can find one?

Are you talking about this one? MATSUCORP, flat out the best BSG Season One blaster out there, period... I've held the others and Matt's quality of workmanship is amazing.

Another vote for Matsuo--I have one of the last "miniseries" versions he did. Sadly, I'm not sure if he's still doing these....

I also have the version you do--good piece that finishes up nicely, but for the feel of a "real" weapon, a Matsuo is the way to go

I know I'm going to get jumped for asking this. But what gun was it based around on? Which one did you guys use with the kit?

The kit comes with a resin base gun, molded from a Colt Python. There is a cheapie airsoft version of it out there as well, if you want the trigger to go clicky.

Thanks guys, I'm humbled by your praise.

I may be inspired to re visit this gun (briefly).

The molds are old but not quite dead yet, they just need some TLC and extra clean up.
I do much of that before you get the guns anyway.

I have one final trick up my sleeve regarding this gun.

here is a pic i took while building mine.

its my wifes real Taurus 38 cal pistol sitting in the casing, fits fine.

no i did not use it , i used a blank pistol but with fiberglass shells it would work with a real gun, :rolleyes
