I'm really hyped up for this. Can't wait until the official sign up on TRF starts

it won't be an exclusive TRA signup. On TRA it is only sanctioned as an offsite run.

So let me explain how this will work.

1.) there will be a google form similar to the previous UH trade-in one already sent out to UH original preorder participants. That list has already been running for a while.

2.) once prototype photos have been acquired and we open the signup, I will open an official project run thread here with a link to that form.

3.) I will post that same form in the TRA thread.

we will then use the signups from those two places to reserve the stock from the run. Order of precedence will be as follows:

1.) UH trade-ins.
2.) original TRA members who previously expressed interest and fill out the google form.
3.) remaining folks who fill out the google form.
4.) remaining stock will go up on the 7 chambers store.

we are "due" to have the prototype finished and have pics on the 25th. So presuming no (more) delays, the form will go live around that time.

also if all things stay on schedule units should begin shipping to customers in August.

Yeah but my situation is unique. I have rc trucks, a real truck, a 66 corvette, action figues...
I have a lot of toys but im always broke Lol
So when something comes up and I'm between birthday and Xmas, nothing to sell on ebay... And no I will not trade my sons vette for a saber lol it was his grandpa's.

TRA signups and and RPF signups are really within the same timeframe and priority... however as the model itself was first being discussed on TRA and an interest list was formed there; we had to be approved for an offsite run (aka, the google form and 7Chambers) since we’re new as manufacturers there. It was also helpful to get quantities to determine our run total.

but I guess to clarify: the ‘priority’ should be defined as equal for TRA and RPF.... Especially since many interested individuals seem to be members of both. The function and parameters of selling on the boards are just different... especially since I’m a more established member here, for instance it’s easier and faster.

In the case of TheRPF; we didn’t want to generate the official ‘interest list’ until the prototype was in hand. Whereas we are pretty aware of the quantity of interest already yielded from this thread and the MoM research thread.

dunno if that makes sense.
but yes, we’ve made sure everyone will get a fair shot if they’ve been following.
And of course, most traffic of interest from social media has funneled through the MoM thread, to end up here.

the grenade section is specced to have a matte anodize. The windvane is specced to come with 3 options: copper, bronze, and aluminum.
With the aluminum, people have their paint and weathering preferences so that will be left raw. Reference the Halliwax tutorials for the DIY color options there

the only other thing to paint will be the lower rail section on the control box. I’d recommend ‘shark grey’ acrylic for that.

Yeah, more as BRRogers mentions. It is more to do with just the different protocols of the respective forums. TRA has a lot more strict protocols around handling runs if you are not part of the armory or alliance groups. Here it is easier to create a run thread. As such we processed the TRA one a long time ago.

it's not that they get preference per se. So I guess think more TRA/RPF after UH are the same preference.

as Bryan pointed out, we have plenty of stock and everyone will get a shot. I fully suspect there will be enough to go up on the store after UH trade-ins, TRA and RPF signups are all accounted for. We planned for and took the risk of a fairly decent sized run. This is what has helped us achieve the price points we have despite the accoutrements in the kit.

EDIT: anyone following our Leia work will know we are not handling it the same way. The run interest is ONLY here. It is just easier to manage w/o TRA protocols

Tangentially related: I have been working through all the machining drawings for the crystal chamber and am about half done now.

a couple of the parts I am trying to figure out how best to spec, and I do have a couple parts left to design.

punchline: the chamber should be a relatively fast follow on the hilt. The rest of the high end chassis will come later but the chamber is nearly finished.

It would be disappointing to not go for the ultimate prop accuracy after all this research.

we do still have plans for a static (and possibly even a Gen2 run of the FX unless we can make adjustments now). Brian and I have a line on the face of the nub of the static emitter plate that we think will fully achieve accuracy of the facing chatter on the emitter nub face.

as for timing, not determined. We have a LOT of projects in flight under this new banner that you guys will be excited about. We have to determine in which order to announce and deliver them.

I _CAN_ say that the static hero would come after the FX Hero, the FX Hero crystal chamber that fits our hero and Anakin Starkiller's and the FX Leia.

we MAY run the static hero and the Leia in parallel but that will depend on factory bandwidth.

At the end of the day, Bryan and I are waiting to see the quality of the FX hero before we commit to further projects with this same factory. We really need to see how well they do.

Absolutely. The "static guys" have been a huge supporter of Bryan's and my work on this and have helped provide SO much info and insights. We are not about to leave them hanging.
