does anyone have a good pattern and or good screen shots of a revolutionary war British Redcoat uniform. I am going to be filming the poem The highwayman and need to get cracken on the hardest costumes..
also i am looking for some resin british Brown Bess rifles...

You might try a Sutler. They're the peopel who sell supplies to the Rendezvouz/buckskinner crowd. They might have patterns or can point youto someone who does.

Try Jas Townsend - they have an online store with patterns available, just know that sewing those coats is a pain.

As for resin brown bess's, I wouldn't know where to start on that one...but the live firing one's can be gotten relatively cheap from Dixie Gun Works in Tennesse.

I'll take the job.
I've got all this stuff from researching Pirates and other stuff like my ultimate Santa Suit. No problem. Use the Re-Act groups, they may be willing to rent you a kit, and you won't have to sew anything. Those guys are usually super nice and the same kind of dorks we are - just for History. Hell I'd be surprised if there aren't any here as members.

Sucks you're in Texas - East Coast would be easier to find that on. Check some local Re-Act groups as the Mexican Army had a red Coat that looked Rev. War under Santa Anna. That might work for you.

This is a pretty well traveled military history, so costumes are readily available. I've never found one for me - but I'm 6'6".

I personally know the guy who made all the uniforms for the Napoleon, and George Wash mini-series, as well as uniforms for Last of the Mohicans, The Patriot, Glory, etc. etc.

I'm not sure what he charges for a complete redcoat getup, but if you like, I can get in contact with him if you like. He does all the gear too.
