Interest Brass Farnsworth Faceplates (Russrep) - Feb 1st Update

People gotta be patient, yes. But once someone takes money with promise that "it will ship soon" they are meant to deliver.

This forum is filled with stories of people that collected money and never delivered. Heck, it happened to me before, more than once.
That's why there are rules for selling in the RPF. That's why people participate in interest thread before sending money.

That being said, I had posted this at the same time as asking you to correct the situation in PM. You acted promptly and issued a full refund.
I commend you for your communication and swift action in resolving.

I sincerely hope you resolve the issues and can manage to get into making this faceplate run a reality. What you're working on will be top notch.

I suppose your wording about hoarding money was an odd way to word your concerns. And my main feedback is that I’m approachable and I’m a stand up person.

I’ll do my best to get my 3D printed faceplate interest thread started as soon as I can. Things on my end are finally getting back to normal.

Here’s some recent pictures of my 3D printed faceplate finally painted and pics of my finished Farnsworth Communicator.

Any feedback is appreciated. I don’t mean to derail or take over this old faceplate interest thread and I’ll definitely start my own.

I just figured it would be good to get some thoughts from the rest of us that may want my alternate 3D Printed version.

That looks great.

This is the brass metalized filament, without any paint? The finish is great and certainly an easier, better result than painting.

This faceplate is actually painted using Krylon Brass spray paint. It's a metallic brass colored paint that doesn't include the metallic flakes like other metallic spray paints. It's a flat brass metallic paint. I'm impressed with this paint. After I painted this faceplate I did some subtle weathering using a watered-down back acrylic wash.

I am still going to print a faceplate using the metal-infused brass PLA too. But that's on the back burner for now. That PLA is quite tricky to get working.
