Interest Brass Farnsworth Faceplates (Russrep) - Feb 1st Update

With that said, I spoke with Joatrash and he's going to try to offer a 3D printed plastic version for those who want an alternative option. If that interests you, I would suggest you check it out.

I'd be down for the 3D printed version as a good backup to the brass option. Is there an interest thread for that?

Did anyone do a wellness check to see if the Master/builder Prop maker assumed room temperature.
Just a thought!

Nothing at all here. I haven't heard from Russ at all in 18 months (since Feb 2016), so I think it's safe to say this is done, at least with Russ as the source.

I'm dusting off this thread to share the faceplate that I 3D modeled.

If anyone is interested in my faceplate I'll start an interest thread.

I designed this to fit the wheatly box.

Let me know what you all think. Thanks!

Hey buddy,

Looks nice! You are more than welcome to start a new thread for them since I literally never heard a single message back from Russ in more than three years now. (Wow, time flew by.) I’ve picked up a QMX since then but I’m sure others are still looking!

You may want to double check the font youre using for the numbers, it shouldnt match the Farnsworth logo, its a different font. Dont have which off the top of my head, but doesnt look right. The logo should be MoonshineScript.

Being busy doesn't allow seller to hoard money for 3 months with nothing to show for. Please resolve.

Hey Marsupial

Just wanted to clarify that when you asked me about starting an interest thread for my 3D modeled and printed faceplates and my reply to your question was back in April about that was on my todo list so I don't know why you quoted me and commented that I was "hoarding" money.

I know that you were frustrated at how long I was working on your 3D printed faceplates. And I recently refunded you because you were where unhappy.

In all fairness, I gave you a really good deal on the price. I also invested in specialty metal-infused PLA to test that material to make an even better faceplate. We chatted about how you were getting a good deal as a test customer so that I could make a few bucks to make your faceplates and do my best to create the best possible faceplate for others and so I don't appreciate you posting to this thread to imply that I was somehow "hoarding" money or not doing what I say I would. That's not cool man.

I am sorry that you feel it was taking too long. Honestly, you gotta be patient when folks are designing, building and creating parts for a prop that you want. Those of us that are offering parts are spending our free time, money and skills to make these parts. It takes time and if you have feedback or concerns you can PM directly and not post publicly with unfair accusations.

Just something to think about bro.

People gotta be patient, yes. But once someone takes money with promise that "it will ship soon" they are meant to deliver.

This forum is filled with stories of people that collected money and never delivered. Heck, it happened to me before, more than once.
That's why there are rules for selling in the RPF. That's why people participate in interest thread before sending money.

That being said, I had posted this at the same time as asking you to correct the situation in PM. You acted promptly and issued a full refund.
I commend you for your communication and swift action in resolving.

I sincerely hope you resolve the issues and can manage to get into making this faceplate run a reality. What you're working on will be top notch.
Keep up the good work.
