Boba Fett helmet build, ongoing project.

Re: Boba fett helmet pep build (my first build) WIP still...

Looks awesome, Ross! Can't wait to watch your progress. If you have any questions about molding, I learned a lot from my Daft Punk helmet so ask away!

Re: Boba fett helmet pep build (my first build) WIP still...

I'm also working on a pep helm. I have it up the point where I rotocasted the inside. I am a little scared moving on to the next step because I am on a relatively low budget and don't want to start fresh, but perhaps if I work this slowly it'll all work out. For this build taking as long as it is, at least you aren't giving up like some of the other threads I have read. Keep it up. :)

Re: pepafett (boba fett pepakura attempt)

could you post the ink with the files on because i ave been looking for on for about an hour now and cannot find one

so long story short, didnt think it would have taking this long for an update, but its here.

mould was done, wasn't perfect though, cast was pulled, again not perfect.

its a cold cast (with aluminium power in the resin)

dome and 1 cheek done

1 back panel done

all done

hopefully it doesn't take me as long to post another update next time.
enjoy.

hello again,

hope you all had a nice christmas, now back to the build

all 3 out of 4 ear fixed with the trusty nuts and bolts method, along with the stalk and range finder housing.

also got the key slots/vents cut out on the back and finished off the day by filling in some small, and not so small pin holes.

i think i'll be turning my attention to fixing a visor next.

on a side note, if you're interested in a casting then you are more than welcome to PM with any question or inquiries.

and finally, thanks for reading.

Happy new year everyone, all the best.

Well i spent most of new years day in the garage, cutting up my helmet.

After lots of cutting, sanding, drilling, glueing and waiting, i have a visor installed.

If you're curious, here is the inside
glossy white.

Next up is some fine tuning for installing the visor and ear caps. and then i'll be looking at painting it.
How or what paint scheme i will be doing i am not sure yet.
(more pictures can be seen here, didn't want to clog up the page with too many pictures.
