Sexy!
:love
This is a great thread and an incredible build. I started using resin to cast and I found a great technique when pouring - once you pour the resin into the silicone negative allow it to overflow just slightly and then place a small piece of glass on top before it sets. Any surplus resin will pour out. Once the resin is dried take the piece of glass off. This will make the top section of whatever you mould as smooth as.... glass.
Looks good I was saying to myself I haven't seen any updates from Rosskow and when I check in I see you posted :lol Psychic :eek.
Man those back vents Look real clean. Great work man.
Mate it looks fantastic, youve come such a long way with this and its worth it. With regards to the cheeks, why are you pulling them in?
The boba helmet is supposed to flare out at the bottom, you had that look before you put in the zip ties. I really would leave it as it is, to have the cheeks straight can through off the entire look of the helmet. Also I still think you could come in a bit more on the edge of the visor. You'll find when you come to painting it thats there is quite a bit of detail that starts in those points so you need the room to apply them.
Again though this is just my opinion, and me offering constructive criticism, its your helmet and what you have done with it is incredible. And those triangles really look good, just as important as the dent and you nailed them. I cant wait to see him finished and primered ready for that silicone goodness

For the visor, I'm quite a fan of RJSafety's Dark Green Face Shield. It's tough and it holds its shape, but at the same time, soft enough to cut with scissors.
I bought one face shield and I had enough for not only a Boba-Bucket but enough for lenses for my Stormtrooper bucket, too.
Whats that like for seeing the wearer? I mean can you see through it and see the wearer or is it good at hiding the person behind the visor?
"now whether i get this moulded or not, im no where near skilled enough to paint it so i think it will only ever see primer paint so im fitting a permanent (styrene) visor."
You have obviously shown that you are extremely talented. I do not expect you will have any problems with paint. Maybe you could invest in a small airbrush kit. And, if you mess something up, you could always re prime and then start over. Great job! It looks fantastic!

Looks great man! Can't wait to see it in one solid colour.
By the way, how did you attach the styrene visor?
