Bloody Knife Help

I'm looking to recreate this effect of blood on a knife. However, I'm having no luck finding any sort of tutorial/diy type information on how to best go about accomplishing the effect.

I have a vintage dexter brand chef's knife (steel) that I want to have permanently decorated with this effect.

Any help or direction is much appreciated.

I just mix some clear epoxy resin with a few drops of red acrylic paint (and a tiny drop of blue)

yeah this looks awesome! Seems simple enough. I like that old yellow/brown stain thing going on in the machete blood also. I'm working on a Halloween replica knife and like that "old killer's knife" kinda look.
