Wow, I wish I had the slightest idea how you make that magic happen. It's looking very good, and every poly in its right place.
Now if you may, please render that torso, with depth of field, like you did with the shoulder (sorry, can't resist the eye candy)

I downloaded Blender because it's free, and they are talking about some kind of blender units. I have been working in AutoCAD for 6 years now, and I really like it. Now... 3D Max is also from Autodesk, so I was thinking maybe it works the same way as AutoCAD... I don't want to steal tread, so you can PM me... Oh BTW, your modeling skills are awesome... What software do you use?

In blender, select your object, go to the scene tab on the right column, you should see "Units" down below, with three buttons "none" "metric" and "imperial". Just click on metric and you're good. To check the scale of your object, put your mouse inside the 3D window, hit "N" and there you go, under "dimension". I think the default cube is 2mx2mx2m.
Neuer, that is one sweet build ! That'd be a blast to 3D print !

that thing is going to be a nightmare to unfold!! but great for 3d printing. when i started my mark 8, i was doing it that detailed. i was yelled at at told to make it more simple for foam unfolding. hence why my model has about 0.1% of your polys!
are you using subdivision or are you modeling the pieces like that?

Yes, I'm using subdivision (Hypernurbs) and weight management. For pep I'm going to only use 1 subdivision, cause there won't be need for more

I love the look of it I have been messing with subdivision modifiers to make mine more 3d print friendly, but I'm having a heck of a time trying to get the results I want. Blender is a great program but Damn do I wish I had 3d studio max.... I :-/

Keep going Neuer22, you're a very talented modeller, I like how you give attention to details and how fast you're working, I can't wait to start building this !

Many Iron Man armors has been made, and I noticed that all of them had a "master modeller"
MK 3 --> DancinFools.
MK 4/6 --> robo3687.
MK 7 --> Darkside501st.
MK 8 --> Neuer22 ?? Actually it seems to be the case...!

wow this is really looking awesome Neuer22 i'm so pumped i can't wait till it's all done :thumbsup then it's building mode time!! been buying the items i need to get ready to build this suit. i plan on wearing it to the IM3 movie haha
