... I would absolutely love that .obj file to rig up for animating.
Just curious wouldn't the foam version of the pep be the same as the paper/cardboard? just with out the folding edges that you need to glue the parts together?
Wow, all the hard work
Yep, I'm talking about 3D printing.
Wait what software did you use to make, and are you using the same software to unwrap it? If you need any more background buildings modeled give me a shout, as that is what I specialize in, though with you're talent It probably won't be an issue![]()
I think I'm fine thanksI use Cinema 4D for modeling. Will unwrap it with pepakura since that is what everyone is used to

But like I said, this won't happen until my teamup with Curtis is over on that one![]()
Any idea on a release day for the pep?![]()
Now that was completely uncalled for, I am sorry that I misinterpreted you're post, but there was no reason to be calling anyone names.
And Blickfang would you be kind to post a link to this thread?
I believe he did. 8 posts above mine.
oh, lol, I have to open my eyes a bit more, I scanned right past it.
lol I do that sometimes too.
blickfang I was curious how did you go about modeling this? did you use either prebuilt or built person and then use the proportions of that to model it to the shape or are you going off of pure refrence?
also, trying to get opinions on this:
what kind of paper should be used for these(the pep paper files). I think i read on another post that it should be a3 paper. not sure if that works but what would be best size/thickness? also what would be best to adhere the pieces, hotglue possibly? i think it would be the best but im not sure because on the first helmet i did as a test i used normal printer paper and it turned out a little too small and i used rubber cement to put it together which was kind of ok(it held together)
Blickfang would probably use the normal, pure reference, and it would probably be proportionate due to the fact that it was modeled after a real person.
And yes, I would definitely use hot glue, as everyone does(or at least I think). For the paper, I use 110 Ib card stock, to put that in proportion to the regular printer paper, it is usually around 27 Ib, the higher the number, the stiffer the paper. The paper is more expensive, but totally worth you're time, as regular paper wouldn't be able to hold the form during the fiberglass resining stage.
Seb used the reference images/design art I gave him to model from. I
t was from scratch same as all his 3D models.
The team up as you call it isn't just on this project.
But I think he will release some low poly version once I get the suit all molded and cast.
Sorry, that's a clear no :/
But I'm releasing the Pep files for free! Stay tuned![]()
