Blake's 7 Slave

OK, I got carried away here. I started out by making a replica of the small, rectangular control panel of Slave, the Scorpio's flight computer from the 4th season of Blake's 7. I then just kept on building until I had a full size replica of him. I've had to only build a small section of the base because I've filled my display cabinet with him. Nonetheless, I'm pleased with the result.

Thanks. Yep, I might struggle to get permission to build the flight deck, still tempted though!

The up-coming Blu ray release will give you even more things to delve into and replicate, I am just happy the series is finally getting the treatment it deserves.

any rundown you feel like doing on the main housings? I'm guessing the top to be a barrel and the bottom to be some kind of footing. I think this is just genius. Beautiful.

Thanks. Yep, the top is a barrel. The rest is pretty much scratchbuilt from plasticard and plywood except for the domes, which are perspex.

So you just build the footing/base? I think I can duplicate that with some kind of unbrella stand/ construction base.

Yep, I was going to do the full base but it wouldn't fit in my cabinet!

If I ever did the project I would probably move an actual alexa/network router/alarm system/air sampler into the housing and put a bunch of other gear in it also. I currently have a 2XL robot shell stuffed with similar gear so moving it over would take no time.. It's got me thinking.

That would be fun! Mine sticks to flashing lights at the moment, but I could motorize the domes at some point.
