Unlimited Run Blade Runner - Deckard's Blaster (Version 3)

Re: 3D Printed Blade Runner Gun Kit

Those turned out really well :) looking good :)

We got texture on the grips!! I'm still deciding how I'll handle the translucent grips. My feeling is that the kit will come with the "standard issue" black grips. If you want translucent orange, I've been talking with @Biggeek1972, and we're exploring him casting my grips into a tinted resin. Will let you know as we get closer.

Re: 3D Printed Blade Runner Gun Kit

I swear this thing will be the death of me:wacko. It's done, but I'm going to play with the resolution and shells to clean up some printing wierdness I had with the text/barrel area. We've got between 300+400 hours into this, I hope people will enjoy it. It toom me 4 hours tonight to cut supports, do minor cleaning and assemble. The pics are not sanded or filled at all, and like I said, I'll work on the text/barrel a bit more

Re: 3D Printed Blade Runner Gun Kit

Here's a few pics of the assembly, people that like building things will like this kit:

Printing the 4th version now, just tweaking a few quality issues, will post a few pics off all the separate parts and how they'll ship out

Re: 3D Printed Blade Runner Gun Kit

So, here's what the kit will look like:

31 pieces of Blade Runner goodness. The 4th prototype strengthened and cleaned up a few parts and this thing is ready to go! I haven't had a chance to install the LEDs or the screw heads yet, more pics to follow

The kit is going to sell for $150.00 plus shipping ($15 to Canada/US, $20 everywhere else). There will be 2 additional options available. The LED kit, which includes 6 LEDs, 1 switch and 1 resistor. The other kit is a screw kit, which will include 15-20 screws (which you can cut off and use the heads). Each kit is $7.50.

The translucent grips will be available in the future, as @Biggeek1972 and I get the molds done. They will be sold separately from this kit

I'll switch this over to a FS thread soon. I look forward to people having fun with this kit. Thanks for all the kind words through the process. Get your paypal ready as you'll be able to get one soon :)

Re: 3D Printed Blade Runner Gun Kit

Will the translucent kits be an "add on" where we need to buy the original kit and then the translucent parts, or do the translucent kits include all the main gun stuff in addition to the translucent grips?

The translucent will be an add-on. You'll end up with 2 sets of grips. We haven't determined when we'll have them out orhow much we'll charge yet, but I'll keep the price as cheap as possible. I'm not looking to make a ton of money on this endeavor, just fill a void for fans...

Re: 3D Printed Blade Runner Gun Kit

Will switch this to FS tomorrow, will be sending out reminder emails. LED test went well, and I've got the screws ready.

Re: 3D Printed Blade Runner Gun Kit

UPDATE!!! NOW SELLING

If you've always wanted a highly detailed, extremely accurate Blade Runner Gun, but can't afford $1500+, here's your chance. We've got literally hundreds and hundreds of hours into this 3D printed kit. It's been designed from the beginning to allow people to assemble and build it (very much like the previous metal kits). I can't tell you how nice this feels in your hand, simply amazing (if I do say so myself).

It comes with 32 pieces, printed in easy to sand and finish ABS plastic. We've also been able to design the following features into the gun:

- movable triggers
- swing out and rotating chamber with removable bullets!!
- movable lever and bolt action!!
- removable battery tray for LEDs
- text on barrel
- actual texture on the grips

1) BR kit - $150.00 (plus $15 shipping to US/Canada, $20 everywhere else)
2) LED kit - $7.50 - comes with 6 LEDs (4 red, 2 green), a switch and a resistor. The 4 red LEDs go into the removable battery tray and can be soldered very easily (by you) to the switch and a CR2032 watch battery (provided by you). The green LEDs I wasn't planning on lighting up, just cutting off the ends and gluing to the piece.
3) Screw Kit - $7.50 - An assortment of about 20 screws that you can cut the heads off and insert into the gun. We've got the holes in the right spot, but you may have to enlarge slightly with a drill/dremel.
4) Resin Grips - $40.00 - A 2nd set of tinted resin grips, pics on page 9. These are amazing.

If you'd like one of these please do the following:

1) Post in this thread that you want one and if you want any of the additional kits (I use this thread as a backup is it's much neater than my inbox).
2) Send me a PM with your name, address and which kits you want.
3) Send me the appropriate amount via paypal to rgriesbeck@sd35.bc.ca (I'd prefer as a gift, but I'll leave it up to you)

I plan on doing a run of 10 and then gauging the response after that. I'm ready to start printing these and expect to start shipping within 2 weeks.

For those that want the translucent grips, it'll happen soon as @Biggeek1972 and I can get together and make the molds. They will be a separate thread.

Here's a pic of the kit:
