Blade Runner Advertisement Footage

Hi there,

Does anyone know where I could find / buy (if coin is needed) the advertisement footage loop used on the buildings and the blimp in Blade Runner? It seems to be the same advert for both the blimp and the building, just cut at different times. I've got a humble Blade Runner shrine and I'd really love to have that looping in the background.

This YouTube post is the closest I've come to getting this footage, however there is a mouse curser baked into the video.

I'm not sure if moffeaton (RPF) and chaucer44 (YouTube) are the same bloke or not (I don't think they are, but I haven't validated that) but neither seem want to let go of the clean ad footage (I've PM'd them both over the years). Which I understand as it's either a ton of work recreating the footage that would be hard to monetize due to copyright concerns or they got the video from a source that wants to remain anonymous or also didn't want for it to get out. Either way once the footage is out it'll be everywhere, which is the concern of any artist that creates digital art.

While I understand it, it doesn't make me want the video any less.

They are defiantly not the same person, chaucer44 is a banned (from the RPF) recaster, and moffeaton is a talented model maker and member in good standing of the RPF.

Chaucer’s footage is fan made and NOT FROM THE FILM. Dunno why people think it is. I have the ad and all the real geisha b-roll but I’m keeping a promise not to share it, and was only give it because I made the blimp twelve or more years ago (oooof) and a well connected friend wanted it to be the best it could be. Sorry, many ask, most get pissed about it

Those bits of real footage are out there so it’s just clever editing. I don’t like that it muddies the water to put fan footage out and say it’s unseen though.

I figured it was a state secret sort of thing. Your blimp is beautifully done and the rarity of the footage makes it even more special.

I've taken to the idea of doing a Pepper's ghost illusion of Joi behind my BR display, but haven't had the time to work on it. Until then stills cycle on a screen framed behind the Ennis tiles.

Can't see what harm it would releasing the footage even to the original bloke. I thought the modelling community was all about helping each other achieve the best model they could

It's his footage to lend or not (as he was involved in the production itself), he's not a model maker, and you are only as good as your word.

The next best thing to do is to find an Asian woman and film the same kind of footage (similar costume, etc)
I know, more work and money...but securing the original footage seems to be an impossible task.
