Limited Run BLADE RUNNER 2049: Officer K (Ryan Gosling) Jacket/Coat - NOW SELLING

It's so close, I'm starting to get pumped for the coat to arrive!!

Of course, I still fully endorse a delay if it means figuring out a potential solution for the fabric coating issue. :thumbsup

Awesome thankyou, pretty much all I needed to know.

You can probably tell I haven't ordered much fitted before. I'm usually that 'off the hanger' guy :D

The sleeves are actually fairly open and wide all the way down. They were too tapered on the sample, they aren't going to be like that in production.

Any word on shipping for first run? Still 8-10 weeks from order date?

The first run coats are mostly sewn, just waiting on the magnets. They're in the right city, just waiting to clear customs. I hope the first batch will ship to me by next week. At this point I don't think any Christmas deliveries are likely, but it shouldn't be long after that.

It's not dead 100% yet, but it's not too promising, you're right. However he does think that even if there's no coating, he has some ideas about how to give it a little bit of shine to match the look.

I'm no expert, but couldn't you just Scotchguard the coat in order to get the waterproof properties? Can you Scotchguard clothes?

Ok, I'm in for a custom-sized coat with lettering. Order #1263947986. Let me know how to send you my measurements.

Once the first run is complete and the second run is ready to start, I'll be emailing everyone in the second run who ordered a custom size. I'll send a link to a form to fill out all the sizes, and it will include a guide on how to take measurements.

I’ve ordered this coat on Etsy. I cannot wait! Here’s an idea for the coat finish:
I used to work with Liquitex acrylic polymer varnishes on cloth and canvas materials in art school. You can dilute it down with water and it soaks in well in the right ratio into fabric and remains flexible. I’d be happy to attempt this with any fabric samples if you have any scraps laying around.

This sounds promising.

That sounds pretty cool, but the problem is how available it is where my manufacturer lives. I can ask if it's around, but if not there's not much I can do to add it.

Looks very promising. I'm wondering if you know how realistic it would be to add this to our own coats once delivered? Or will it be problematic applying it to a finished garment rather than raw cloth/canvas?

Sounds great. To be honest I'd rather receive later to avoid that Christmas postal chaos.

Any word on sample offcuts for testing?

I might have a couple of pieces around and I can certainly get some scraps shipped with the coats.
